Likes

Classes are conducted in a meaningful manner plus placements are provided in top companies.
Discipline is taught in day to day classes.
Highly recommend for freshers as it provides a good platform to present not only your technical skills but artistry skills as well

Dislikes

Attendance issues that students have to maintain in regular classes i.e, 75%.
Mainly assignments and attendance pressure.
At the end of third year when dcpd classes start student need to maintain 100% attendance which is quite tiring for students.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is perfect as it has to be the internal assignments, research papers, internships everything is provided with best facilities so as to enhance students technical skills as well as their interpersonal skills by providing soft-skills and aptitude classes regularly.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 107000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships are provided to students by top most companies like LG, samsung etc. These companies provide internships for a period of time and if the student performs well they are placed into that company with a decent package.

Placement Experience

Students are provided with best internships and placement facilities from the 6th semester itself so by the graduation every student has a job in his or her hand. For which students are provided with best faculties and great teaching.

Fees and Financial Aid

Mainly an exam is conducted for admission i.e, cucat and according to your percentages you are provided with scholarships and you have to maintain your scholarship by maintaining your semester cgpa by 7.5.

Campus Life

The CU campus is huge, starting from north campus to the south campus it has various gardens, food courts , academic blocks, hostels, offices etc. Students are provided with club facilities, sports facilities and many more.

Admission

No cutoff , only a cucat exam is conducted at the time of admission by which scholarship is provided to students and they need to maintain their cgpa to avail the scholarship. Earlier cucat was conducted online but now it maybe conducted in physical mode as well. After the exam you avail your scholarship ex: 20-30% and you can book your slot into your respective branch and pay the fees later.

Faculty

The professor are highly qualified in their respective fields with Phd, masters and other higher degrees. The faculties are not only great in their respective fields but also connects with their students very comfortable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Placement Experience:

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
