What Students Say
Likes
- The thing I liked the most is the atmosphere of the college , it is spacious and lush green. The thing you would most enjoy is roaming in the college during your free time with your friends.
- The seniors are helpful and easy to interact with. You can approach them and ask for any help
- The hostels and rooms are good and are maintained on weekly basis. Wifi speed is average
Dislikes
- If you are from mechanical or smart manufacturing then the placement rate is very less as I have been told and your seniors will say the same thing.
- You have to remain in clubs to play cricket or football. Don't worry about badminton as you have your own court in your hostel
Course Curriculum Overview
Well it is an autonomous college and the syllabus can very. The courses are structured well . In your first year you will have physics, math, English, electronics , engineering drawing and C/Python as your main credit subjects. The difficulty level is medium of other subjects and hard for physics in terms of scoring. In one semester you would have 2 quiz along with mid and end sem exams .
Internships Opportunities
Well previous year 100+ companies visited and offered 350+ job offers . The main companies were Amazon ,Flipkart, CRED, Goldman Sachs, Mahindra, Gamecraft, Infosys, media.net , Oracle , Capgemini , Mesho, American express . The training and placement cell prepares the students on soft and technical skills so they can sit in the internship and job interviews.
Placement Experience
Well I am in Mechanical department . The placement are not good if you are in ME or SM you will face backlash from your seniors about placements. Don't get disheartened or depressed you can still sit in IT placements if you maintain your cgpa 8 or above and have done paid internship, created projects. You just have to remain serious and interact with your seniors, be in technical clubs, you would learn a lot in less time. Well you are always eligible for core placement and can also prepare for GATE exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well the fee structure is high and since it is IIIT it remains same for general/obc/ews . If you are a resident of MP then you would enjoy great benefits , your whole tution fee would be waved. Now talking about scholarship the most important one is NSP scholarship definitely fill it. Then there is MCM offered by college itself which is given to top 10% of each batch on merit for 2nd,3rd and final years and according to your mains rank for first years.
Campus Life
The Campus life is awesome and satisfactory. You would definitely enjoy the Fests and festivals. The DJ night is the most awaited and students enjoy the most there.festivals be it if North or south are celebrated with great enthusiasm and energy. Clubs will be an important aspect of your college life where you will get to interact with your seniors , learn from them, equip important life lessons and eventually grow your overall personality,so definitely join clubs , technicals are a must.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are good and maintained. As first year's you would live in 3 seater which would gradually decrease in the coming years and in your final year you would have your own room. You will be provided with a bed, a studying table, a fan . I would suggest to come earliest to physical reporting and occupy the side closest to window . The mess food is good on your first day when you come with your parents, then the quality will gradually decline. Now they are serving non veg also and it's quality is good honestly. The hostels of all four years are not far from each other and are at walking distance. The mess is also located nearby.
Admission
You would have atleast qualified in jee main with a percentile of 96 and above to enter in this college. Then you have to fill josaa counselling form which will be floated online after your advance exams and would contain 6 rounds. Then there is also CSAB counselling if your luck runs out in JOSAA which contains 2 special rounds to allocate remaining seats.
Faculty
The seniors and assistant professors are qualified from IITs and NITs and have strong grasp on their subject. Their teaching style is good and you can understand most of it if you pay attention. You may not be able to ask too many questions during lecture but you are free after it and the professors are easy to approach and would definitely answer all your queries. Physics is very good and will the toughest in terms of scoring in your first year.
