Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course although isnt the tradition bachelors in hotel management rather a bsc in hospitality, the curriculum doesnt match that criteria... the courses at best were the same as BHM and albeit I thoroughly enjoyed every bit, it wasnt a B.sc in HHA. Other than that the campaigns and festivities we had on campus were amazing

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internships from IHMs in comparison to other HM schools are on a different planet. Your associates treat you different, you get a better package and probably even better work. The college makes sure everyone is placed in good hotels and companies to make sure that they have a good experience and understand the modus operandi of a hotel

Placement Experience

4

Campus placements arent like any other college.. students go through rigorous interviews to get placed into hotels for management trainess. These management trainess then work under all the departments of the hotel for over 18 months and then decide where they would work in that hotel. The mgmt trainee program also hels jumpstart careers helping students in the long run

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a govt. college the fees wasnt exorbitant.. it comes out close to 50000 per sem and the experience one gains doesnt match that. If someone wants a scholarship the college doesnt miss out on those as well.... the financial aid provided by banks tied up with colleges provides students with little to no income to still attend the college

Campus Life

4.5

Every student on a compulsory basis had to join a committee.. be it drama, folklore, sports or even cultural. The social life in and out of college in Mumbai is bound to stellar... the college makes sure students are ready for the industry via a 4 month internship which helps student nurture and apply class work into real life practical knowledge

Admission

The admission process was similar to any other govt institution, a joint common entrance test. The NCHM-JEE is a test conducted by the national council to examine and analyse students from all over India if they are capable to see what it takes. Getting a rank suffices students to grant admission into colleges with IHM Mumbai being one of the top institutions havibg a cutoff of close to AIR 300

Faculty

4.5

Although we had 2 chefs at all time steaching a class, it felt like much more.... their presence was enough to make students disciplined and they also helped alot in understanding basic concepts and creatives
