Likes

Great exposure to any field you choose be it sports, event management, technical involvement or literature clubs
Faculty are good and focussed on more research oriented process.
Infra is subpar post covid but many sections are under reconstruction and are re-built

Dislikes

Pretty much things were nice and there is not a lot of room to crib about
When in college, it doesn't strike what value it holds.

Course Curriculum Overview

It's a deemed university so course is not fixed and professors get a chance to choose how much of syllabus they want in exam. It's flexible enough for students and professor with no burden on racing for syllabus completion.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 63000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship is great. Many companies visit in IT & Software industry. They start in June and go on until Jan or March depending on volume of intake for the year. Median salary could be somewhere around 30k-40k

Placement Experience

As same as industry standards. Students in 3rd year are eligible for internships and the students in 4th and final year are available for Full time employment. Also, starting this year the college started allowing for last sem as internship for final year that is full 6 months of internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are pretty affordable 63k was tuition fees 30k for hostel in which 16k is for mess food and A year would lost around 1 lakh. And if family income is below 8 LPA then the tuition fees get's 2/3 waiver moving to 20k. If income is less than 1 Lakh then 0 tuition fees are to be paid.

Campus Life

Campus life was awesome since you get so much to explore. It was really an amazing experience. If you are interested in technical clubs then there are plenty of them. If you wish to be part of sports team then Inter NIT is your destination to go. And people actually involve a lot in cultural program which are really cool and amazing.

Hostel Facilities

There are 6-7 hostels for boys and 1 hostel for girls. The main Hostels are bit old but they are being renowated and reconstructed. Recent new hostels are good infra wise but accomodation is double. I kinda love the liberty that the hostels give here. Even at night 3 AM there are no restrictions.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

As same as other NITs Needs Give JEE Mains Apply in JOSAA Pay Admission fees for first sem Most of the things are already mentioned on the college website. You can visit and check things out on svnit.ac.in and you will get all details.

Faculty

Depends a lot on faculty. Some has PhD from Tier 1 premium institutes and expects more discipline and maintains healthy learning environment while some professors push to perform activities outside of academics.

Placement Experience:

At PDEU, students become eligible after the 7th semester for the campus placements . Many top companies like IBM, Cognizant, JP Morgan Chase &Co. , TCS and many more. the highest package that went in my batch was 13-20 LPA whereas the average package is 7-8 LPA as per the company and profiles. Mostly 80-85%of the students got placed every year. Some students also goes for the higher studies or for their family bussiness.My plan after getting the degree is to join a AI/IoT company at better package.

Why SVNIT is Good Choice!

The course I was getting that drove me to this college. This syllabus is best. Alreaddy told that I was getting LDCE and Nirma University with ECE branch, but I took drop that year. It was drop year and I was applying for DAIICT, but due to JEE rank i couldn't get that branch. I was getting the ECE in this collge, but planned for drop. Yes, this college stands strong based on previous understanding before coming to this college. Apply for JEE Exam, clear the exam with good score, I mean a good rank will ensure for all the branch. Now apply using JoSAA portal, then you will get the branch as per that year competition. Percentile 89 is good for cutoff.
