The cultural exposure is too good at Chandigarh university, there are students from different communities, states and countries.
University provides a lot support to students to get placed
Faculty is well equipped with experience

Dislikes

Lot of crowd makes it difficult to stand up on opportunities
Few faculty members are PHD students in university itself
The attendance system is really harsh and students have to rush from one building to other for approvals

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is all theory based. There is less exposure to labs. Only a few teachers take lab subjects seriously and make students work hard on projects. And the whole curriculum rushes pass the curriculum from classes to examination.

Internships Opportunities

The university provides a lot of assistance for campus placements. There are regular DCPD workshops and summer class. I was campus placed in a company of my choice and passion. The college really brings up opportunities for it's students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is scholarship available for new admissions for on the basis of cucet exams, jee mains and merit based scholarship annually. I had 12000 scholarship on fee of 82000INR per semester. Though the campus is justifiable for the course fee.

Campus Life

There is always some events going on in the campus which opens doors for socialising. There are varuous clubs and organisations competing in different competitions aswell whuch is a wholesome experience itself and prepared students for exposure.

Admission

The admission process was flawless. The university Spends a lot in its advertisements and really makes students and there parents follow it's lucrative offers. There was continuous follow ups by admin departments for admissions.

Faculty

Although The faculty is well equipped with knowledge of courses, The hierarchy system makes it worst. You have to rush from one person to ther in order to seek guidance. The faculty memebers are friendly and comes up with support pf student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
