JIS college of engineering

Course curriculum is pretty decent. Curriculum is one of the reason i choose this college. But sometimes they just focused on non core subjects rather than the core one. Teaching methods should be done keeping both Bengalis and non Bengalis together in mind so they can understand what is going on.

The internship opportunities college provides are not so good. You have to find yourself this opportunity by manking projects and enhancing your skills. College barely provide any internship in the campus.

College campus placement is based on mass recruiter. Only 3 4 students get really placed in big companies because of their hardwork and skills. All mass recruiter companies like tcs , cognizant, wipro etc visits our college.

Fee structure were initially 550000 for 2023 batch but after 1st semester they increased it by 1 lakh without prior information or notice. There is barely any campus employment. You have to do it yourself.

There is two annual fest organised here. Tech fest and cultural fest . Tech fest is pretty good , one can learn a lot about technology and from project of students. Books in library is pretty good But the books that they provide at the start of the semester, they are of no use , so old edition. Some faculties are really very nice . They interact sweetly, but sometimes they just try yo escape.

Hostel life is good . The meal quality is 6 out of 10. In girls hostel, the warden is so irritating, she don't want to hear anyone. If you will rent a pg it will cost you less costlier than the college hostel and food will also be better than the hostel one

Admission process is done through wbjee counselling but there is also one scam here. You can direct admission here just by visiting and contacting the college management without any extra charges you can get your desired branch. Justice should be there for students who came from counselling process.

All faculties have master degree mostly from their respective fields. Some of them are also post graduates. Ratio of students to the teachers is 30:1 They provide flip class learning that helps to interact with teachers freely.
