The college is awesome. Lot of cultural activities are here. Many clubs for tevhnical and non technical basis. No regulations at all. No 1 college in kerala
Very good campus. It is very eco friendly
Good sports amenities are preasent. Courts for all sort of games are here.

Dislikes

Weather in trivandrum is extremely hot and may fint it difficult
We can't enter cars or bike into the campus
Stray dogs are present in the campus which are also friendly

Course Curriculum Overview

Here the curriculum based on the Kerala Technical University that is the Abdul Kalam Technological University is followed. It is a very prestigious University here in Kerala. Old song some more practical can be involved in the curriculum for the Welfare of students

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 8750 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

If we are ending through came that is a Kerala entrance examination then only 8750 will be the cost for 1 year. There is no management in Race only government entries are allowed. Many scholarships provided by the Kerala Government and other NGOs are available at the campus.

Campus Life

This campus teaches you life. There are many clubs and also community in this campus this will help you develop possible and can also increase your social skills. As it is in Kerala you have political parties in the campus which is very helpful for students to raise their voice and come up with their opinions in for the college

Admission

The admission process is quite Lengthy but it is effective. In a year there are two sem exams. Mini reservations are allowed in the process of entry. My rank was 7856 and I had OBC reservation. You can find the application form and the details in the cet website

The faculty to student ratio is good. Every faculties are very well qualified. They are interactions are smooth and very helping in nature. They also help in projects and various clubs. They work for the Welfare of students and are also very kind.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
