Likes

Everything is online including leave application like medical duty and general
Lms is provided for studying lms is basically a website where every subject's study material is provided
A lot of events occurs including dance singing modelling and a lots of seminars

Dislikes

Very diverse and big University you would be confused what to do
Walking at gate 2 and compulsory I'd card for entry nobody is gonna come at 9.30 at this college grow up

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is actually good but it's less For example for coding subject very less topics and you know limited content is tought and provided They could actually improve or diverse their content. There are two mid semester test and one end semester test Mst occurs for 20 marks each and end sem for 60 marks and then they are converted into some ratio

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't think so there's an increase in fees and i guess hostel fees is increased this year Also they help you get education loan They give you scholarship on basis of their test and class 12% For above 90% in class 12 you get 50% scholarship and then you've to maintain it by getting noo backlogs and 7.5 cgpa per year

Campus Life

A lot of fest events occurs almost every month 2-3 events happens Flash mobs seminars and a lot more To attend these you're given 10 duty leave which you can apply on lecture basis or day basis Every block has its own library and i guess with enough books A lots of clubs a variety of clubs you'll find and it's easy to get in . Extracurricular activities and sports are pretty good Sports is lot supported in the campus

I Guess 60% in class 12 in PCM is the eligibility criteria fI'm B.E. On their official site Chandigarh University you'll find everything like application form application fees and dates Also the application form fees is refundable Admission process is quite simple actually also the test of online so you can sit at home and give it

Faculty

Faculty and teachers is kinda cool not soo bad just the maths faculty is irritating and very annoying otherwise it's good. Faculty to student ratio is different for labs and theory classes For lab it's like 30 on 1 plus one lab assistant and For theory class its like 60 on 1

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
