Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very effective and easy-to-follow for every student. You are free to chose if you want to attend a class or not, but there might be some % of grade attached to attendance which must be kept in mind. The classes timetable is arranged by you yourself.

Internships Opportunities

I honestly have no idea as i am still in my first year but based on the talks of our seniors. Students are given internship opportunity twice- PS1 AND PS2(PS- practice school). All information is available online on bits website.

Placement Experience

In the forth year after you sit for placements but your credit requirements should be complete to graduate. Many people recieve PPO in their PS2(Practice school 2) which is internship over a semester which qualify for based on cgpa, interviews, tests .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees increment can be found on the BITS website itself. There is a increment every year. Their are multiple scholarships you can apply to like MCN(merit cum need)- for people with less income who get scholarship based on their cgpa. You get updated on email anytime opening happen

Campus Life

The campus life is amazing. The senior-junior relationship between students is unlike any other. I myself have seniors whom i consider brothers. The Library is equipped with course books as well as books on all kinds of topics . The range of books can also be found on the bits website. The SAC (Student activity centre) is a hub for students to vent energy and stress. It has a pool, snooker , chess , carrom , badminton, art, music , gym, table tennis and vfx rooms for different activities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are clean and maintained. The electricity rarely went out. No AC rooms but the common room on each floor is equipped with AC where students are allowed to bring their mattresses to sleep in the summers. Students for FD programs are not allowed to live outside campus. It is mandatory for students to stay in their hostels. The hostels have no in-time or registery , you can leave and enter at any time at your convenience.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

For applying to BITS you appropriate marks in BITSAT and 75% overall and 75% in Physics, Chemisty, and maths each. BITSAT difficulty is ranked under jee mains but isn't to be underestimated as you have to answer 130 questions in only 3 hours.

Faculty

The faculty is amazing to the point you can familiarise yourself with them almost immediately. They are all qualified and do not bother about the questions you ask. But they do demand respect and academic integrity from all students. Their is no problems in contacting a prof for input.

We have many laboratories for practical knowledge. And also they providing other practical labs for us from other course related. They have installed a seperate computer lab or other elective labs for different branches. And also provide different assistants for every laboratories. They teach us well . Make us to make connections as per the circuit provided. They also teach us how they came into work in the real time life. Mainly they teach us how they are applicable to our real life. Placement Experience:

from 3 year 2 semester onwards the students can attend to placements without any active backlogs. The campies visited are drawin box,service now, real page,epam etc. the highest package is 44 lpa and average is 5 lpa. 45 per students have placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my father was private employee from electrical background so that i choose the Electrical and Electronics branch. So this branch was learned me technically a lot. The course was very difficult but need a guts to chase this.Here practical knowledge also very important from basics and need teaching very neatly to explain such hard topics like mechanism and electronics too.We wrote our exam into twice at 6months by dividing 1-1 and 1-2 etc.The exam time was 3 hours its a sufficient time to write a student with focus and knowledge on topics.

The reputation of the college impressed me with good placement record. I applied SRM,Thapar,Nit Jaipur but the brand value of Bits got me to take the admission here. I got rejected from BITS PILANI CSE due to low score. This college gives you the right amount of freedom, which helps in students to go out of the box and do something different than others. I applied to iist and got a confirmed addmission but i rejected it due to no scope for aerospace engineering at this moment and the attendance policy which i resent. I got rejected by iiit hyderabad i didn't make it there because I didn't clear cutoffs by 0.25 so I didn't make it. I didn't get many other colleges, I was getting colleges like VIT, manipal and almost all colleges via KCET and COMEDK.
