The top companies visit our college, like Infosys, Capgemini, Welspun, Godrej, HUL, and TCS
The students were offered jobs in almost every field ranging from marketing and sales to core engineering
The college infrastructure is goog and awesome to see

Dislikes

Placements in our college are not as high as in NITs and IITs, but they are better than many state-level colleges
Deemed university so cant competition with other university student
College nirf ranking is very high above 150 between the compare of other college

Course Curriculum Overview

This university is deemed university then the faculty taught the subject also check the exam copy then exam level is moderate and easy type. Syallabus is more and time is minimum so minimise the Syallabus or maximise the time.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 270000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee increase policy with the government rule because it is government college. The complete course cost is maximum including all fee like mess, tution fee is 3 to 4 lakh.Poor boys fund and many central and state governments scholarship

Campus Life

Techfest is technical and Madhuram is cultural festival of this college. All type of book technical journal books are available in central library.All type of practical instrument is provided in college. For extracurricular activities gym is also available in all hostel.

Admission

Diploma in any college or university . On the college website sliet.ac.in. for the Punjabi or state cota the sheet is 50% reservation . The time period is 3 hour and exam question is easy and moderate.

Faculty

The faculty and teacher are well qualified. Most of the teacher studies in iit ,nit and foreign also. Faculty interact between the student like his/her child. Faculty prefer all languages like hindi english and Punjabi also.

A well-rounded diploma experience at LPU

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum 4 out of 5 for relevence and comprehensiveness. It focused on core mechanical subjects, practical labs, and workshops, which helped me choose this course. The curriculum prepares student for jobs and higher studies. Exams conducted regularly and are of modern difficult. However, there ia still scope for improvement. More industry exposure, interships, and advanced machine- based training could further enhanced the curriculum. Overall, the course is relevant well-planned, and suitable for sudents aiming for techanical skills and career growth in mechanical engineering

5th semester student can apply and eligible for the placement. Companies like tata mahindhra infosys etc Highest package of our college is 50lpa and average package is 3 lpa Mostly 80% student placed My plans is to go good companies

True experience of a SLIET Student

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. Sliet Journals : Must for bigginers

I choose this college honestly as it was a centeral government college under josaa and has significantly less fees which would help me save for my master's . Internship apportunities in SLIET, Longowal

I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
