Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The forestry course itself is a unique course as it involves a major part that includes the practical stuff. The practicals aspect of this course attracts a lot of nature enthusiasts students. The curriculum helps a student for a a variety of tasks if he or she is from agricultural background. This curriculum should have some more importance to the upcoming technology such as AI. We have two exams and two classroom quizzes for each semester after every three months we have either end term or our mid terms.

Internships Opportunities

5

Our college provides the internship during which we have department attachments for a complete semester. During this internship we even get a stipend of 21000 for each student. We have projects such as village surveys, industrial surveys etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the batch 2020 is very much genuine but ther has been an increment for the upcoming batches which i think should not have been. For batch 2020 the complete cost including hostel and other expenses is around 170000 for 4 years. Our university has recently started providing monthly scholarship to the master's students. Also the 5 topper ug students from each batch get the merit scholarship for every academic year. The only field our university is lacking is campus employment, our college does not have any placement drives.

Campus Life

4.5

Our campus life is very much nature oriented as our campus has a major part including natural structures rather than artificial structures. Usually the campus is closed during any festival. But we celebrate freshers party and farewell parties every year for the coming and the leaving batches respectively. Our library has a lot of books related to the course, it also has dissertations and theises submitted by the students. The classrooms have technologies such as projectors and smart boards. For the sports, we have a sports week every year during which the students participate for various sports such as cricket, badminton and volleyball. We have our students council which has a president which is elected by all the students every two years. This council is used to represent the students of the faculty.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are average but the rooms are well structured A room is designed for two students, in a room we get two beds, two wardrobes, mattings, balcony, study table and study lights. Mess menu is designed by the students itself and the quality is pretty much good. Registration of the hostel is done during the semester registration itself. The hostels are very affordable. I have not rented a pg

Admission

The admission process is very easy! A student must have cleared 10+2 with science stream Admission process is completely online and the university advertises the admission notification during the admissions. There is reservation for various categories such as SC, ST, EWS, CDP. Entrance exams are every year during the month of may and the difficultly level is completely similar to other entrance exam like NEET-UG. The entrance exam should have negative markings. Which can improve the level of examination.

Faculty

5

The number of faculty members is a bit less than the number required to run the academics properly, due to this a single member has to teach Multiple courses during a single semester. The available faculty members are very much qualified and provide us the required knowledge through various methods like practicals and on field experiences. We interact with our faculty members on daily basis, we interact during a lecture, during a visit or during a practical, the members respond positively.

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

The curriculum provides me with Whatever is sufficient in my course and whatever knowledge I need, I will have more than that. Exam timing should be in the afternoon only because morning gets very late in coming due to which exam gets skipped, rest it is perfect

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

Remarks:

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.
