Course Curriculum Overview

5

Our course is mostly inspired by DU as Zoology started from there and we have a lot of notes similar to them. Animals and their husbandry and researches on that is what we are taught and it's one of the best courses as our university has seen students from various cities come and study Zoology here.

Placement Experience

5

Placements aren't that good and for Zoology it's like the research roles in labs and under research professors so mostly a salary of 30-50k is what students of Zooly gets at our college and even DU stidnets get the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

Cluster University of Jammu is cheaper than most central universities as just 15k a year for one of the top subjects of today that is BSC Zoology. For Jammu students a scholarship of 50% is fixed and likewise there are some minority scholarships as well.

Campus Life

5

Our university is huge and has like all sports facilities. A very good playground and students will be seen playing cricket and frisbee all throughout the day. One after the other departments keep capturing the ground and also our central library is amazing.

Admission

I applied in DU and Hindu College was the college where I wanted to study but unfortunately CUET score was not as per requirement and therefore I chose my hometown and in my hometown Jammu, CUJ is the best university to pursue it.

Faculty

5

Faculties of CUJ are like no discrimination and give an impartial education to all. A state which is sensitive and is known for history between communities is entirely secular here. All thanks to our faculties as they are the ones who have managed to maintain it along with maintaining a class education.

Night Life

5

Jammu is definitely not known for night life but Paratha at Vaishno Dhaba are next level. Close to our university is a dhaba known for aesthetics Jammu food and best is their Rajma Chawal and most students go and have their lunches there.

I choose this course because i have an interest in this course.curriculum prepare me for real world like i can get a good job with this course.for improving we need to focus on more practical work and train students not for theory but for real world application.exam was quite different but it also helps us to learn the core knowledge.Exam timings sometimes are not good because students have to come from different areas.sometimes timings are too early or sometimes to late

I have interest in physics so I choose bsc in physics as major subject.. As mathematics is quite related with physics so I choose it as a minor subject.. There are two phases of exams and in these phases there is a lot of time to prepare for the exams.. However teachers method of teaching was quite friendly and soft spoken ..

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

Remarks:

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.
