Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course and curriculum is very well up to date. The subjects they teach us are revised with every batch. The content they provide is npt always the content they teach with, with the growth in tech field and requirement of this industry they tend to add more factual training along with the course. Each semester we were required to complete several tech courses from Coursera, NPTEL or springboards. Used to moocs credits. These courses gave us more exposure of the techs that were out in the industry to enhance our knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

4

The companies and the roles are of a variety say it from the core techn based companies to consultancy service providers. We had the companies investing in almost every tech we studied. And we were very much made familiar to what we can exoect during out placements

Placement Experience

4

you are eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. During our time ig 300-350 companies visited and the highest pay was 29 lpa in cse .The average package was between 4-5 lpa.The crc puts in a lot of efforts in getting most students placed. The teachers are also very supportive .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my batch i.e., 2020-2024 for core cse was 80,000. I had scholorship for 12,000. Though the scholorship test is very simple but i opted for it during the 3rd phase, So if someones planning to give the cucet they may want to register for it asap.It would be beneficial. As far as the emplpyment oppprtunities are concerned, they provide dcpd training to you in you 3rd year.It comprises of basic to advance level of aptitude question and softskills lessons. The training is both theoritical and practical. They take care of everything say it from the outfit you wear to the mail you write. The perfume you apply to the nail length you have kept

Campus Life

4

I had a very nice experience in and out of the campus. The teachers were very supportive. The students were very cooperative and especially during the fest times we were given a lot of options to select from. They always motivate us to join clubs they have the research club, the science club, dance, fine arts. etc They provide optionals which ultimately helps us in mingling with other departments. They have a very nice sports complex, basket ball courts, volleyball court. Cafeterias etc to hangout with friends. You can also just hangout near the fountain area and enjoy flashmobs with your friends also perform in one.You can see others playing music and enjoy the moments especially during winters.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facility is very nice, they have clean room, house keeping services, lost n found, the wardens are very supportive. The hostel is quite strict about defaulters. They also have many in premises events. And they have the option to provide food during the navratra or ramadan seasons. They host competitions and motivate everyone to join in.

Admission

The admission process was quiet simple, just had to fill an oine registration form along with the registration charges which is variable if you talk to the consultant. Then you have the option of applying for the cucet test i.e., the scholorship exam. The Eglibility for cse is ig 60% in 12th and you can get the form from the official chandigarh university website. They do have the option of scholorship based on different quotas some of which are army children, caste based, merit based, jee based etc

Faculty

4

The faculty was very well-versed with what they are teaching and how they can pass on their knowledge to us. They gave us proper notes, questions and moreover doubt sessions which helped alot. They were very understanding towards our doubts and helped us in every possible way. They motivated us during our placement season and moreover didnt ever made us feel left out. Even after i got the internship and i had to shift somewhere else, the faculty helped to complete the project work and guide me whenever i had time, they literally were available even after their worling hours and i appreciate it the most.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
