What Students Say
Likes
- The best thing about VIT is the extracurricular activities it provides. Almost 40 technical/non - technical clubs including dance, music, art, robotics, photography etc are a few to name. The college has new fests every semester so it's never boring.
- Many non - technical subjects like psychology are taught in the first year
- It prioritises practical knowledge over theory by giving 5 projects each semester for better understanding of subjects and also judges students on theoretical & practical knowledge along with presentation and communication skills by assigning PPTs
Dislikes
- The campus isn't great it's quite small for a college but the extracurriculars and fests compensate for it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum may be the 2nd best thing about VIT after its extracurriculars. It covers theoretical knowledge, practical knowledge, and soft skills (communication, leadership, team work) using a combination of theory subjects, lab works, practical - based group projects, presentations on theory topics and research based assignments. Another subject (design thinking) is included in the curriculum involving drafting of IEEE format research papers on the projects and publishing processes for patents, journals and conferences (national and international).

Faculty
The teachers may not be the best or most knowledgeable but they are willing to help students in projects and studies. Most teachers are approachable and encourage students to ask doubts. They also provide life and career insights and motivate students in many lectures
