Even though the college has better area the ambience is not that good.
There is no public transports to the college. But there is college bus facilities

Course Curriculum Overview

The academic curriculum is one of the best I have ever seenin my life. This college has the best acdemic curriculum. The college is under K.T.U. which is good university. The curriculum by this university is too good.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Placement Experience

The students will become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. As far as I know there is about 800+ placements every year. The average package depends upon the company you got placement. It can become about 25000

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no such thing like tution fee increase policy. The tution fee for each semester is 35000 rs. However you can get scholarships if you have a good grade in 12th exam or a good rank in KEAM entrance exam.

Campus Life

This college conducts mainly two events. A tech- fest named Asthra and an arts- fest named Surgam. They are conducted once in a year. In this college there are NCC, NSS etc. The classrooms and other facilities are really good.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms have three beds each. There are common bathrooms and toilets. The meal quality is just above average. The hostel fees includes a 22000 establishment charge and 10000rs caution deposit then a 4500rs every month as mess bill.

Admission

You have to complete your 12th grade to get the admission. The cut off is based on the number applicants. It's based on their grade. As we all know a student with good grade or a better entrance rank will get the admission. However you can get management seats if you want to.

Faculty

The faculties of our college has better teaching experiences. Most of them have Ph.D some of the faculties are now pursuing Ph.D. Each and every faculty is dedicated to their work. Overall teaching experience is very good.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

My options were SJCET and AJCE. Now both are autonomous, when i was there to join a student commit suicide and my friend was already a student who pursuing ece and said dont ever come to the hell. I had applied to various coleges. That includes amal jyothi college of engineering and technology and also registered for for rajagiri school of engineering and technology.
