What Students Say
Likes
- The atmosphere is very good. You get attached to the university once you are regular.
- The Library is huge. All the required books for every semester students is provided in the library
- Social exposure. Graphic Era University has various clubs and societies to promote extra curricular activities
Dislikes
- Admission faculties are not cooperative .
- The demand for B.Tech CSE is only a major source of income of Graphic Era University. Rest all courses get sideways dues to B.Tech
- Lack of classrooms in GEU campus. It's so hectic having a schedule with lots of break in between just because of lack of classrooms.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is designed on focusing more on practical studies rather than theoretical knowledge . The curriculum prepares real world applications such as microbiology techniques used in food industries, pharmaceutical industries and industrial sectors. I'm currently satisfied with the areas of course curriculum and teaching methods, since no suggestions for the same. The frequency of exams is once in 2 months. So it's not hectic to manage the schedule. The difficulty depends of self study techniques.
Internships Opportunities
Currently there are only internship sectors in campus ambassador program of the university for marketing. An interview round is surpassed to get admitted to the internship offered by Graphic Era University. The average stipend is 12000 rupees.
Placement Experience
Students from 3rd year are eligible for campus placements. Accenture, TCS, Google are the usually visiting companies in Graphic Era University. The placement varies from 3 lakh to 14 lakh. But the highest placement recorded in Graphic Era University is 84 lakhs for a B.tech CSE student. Only 20 percentage of the students are getting placed at University as rest students prefer higher education. My plans after the degree is moving abroad for other opportunities
Fees and Financial Aid
After the promotion of NAAC grading of the university from A to A+, the fees has drastically hiked. If we pay the fees on yearly basis, there is a discount of 10 percent on the total fee. Complete cost of my course is around 2.5 lakh rupees. It includes tution fee, service fee and other compulsory charges as well. Scholarship available for students are loyalty benefit for GEU aluminis, girl child benefit, army discount. There are currently no internships that I've enrolled in GEU campus. But the internships include campus ambassador program of the university to promote their college through marketing
Campus Life
India's largest university fest- Grafest conducted every year is a super hit and massive turnover of audience. It's held every May month. Almost all the books and journals are available in library. The timings are from 8 am to 6 pm for sitting in Library. All classrooms have smart board technology which is AI model and connected to wifi. Sports tournament of vollyball, basketball, football, cricket, chess, badminton and more are played and tournament is conducted on frequent terms. Debating Society, Literature society, Dance clubs and singing clubs are a part of GEU which plays an important role in the growth of extra curricular activities in a student
Hostel Facilities
I have opted for 3 seater non AC room in an out-campus hostel of Graphic Era University. Bed, study table, matress, pillow, bedsheet is provided in the room. The food quality is poor. Lunch is comparatively better than dinner. I've been eating the same food for 3 years and it's getting worse day by day.
Admission
The course eligibility is based on 12th class report. It should be higher that 60 percentage. The application fees is 1500 rupees and the dates varies from May to July month. Reservation benefits are only upto 25 percentage scholarship. The timings of exam will be of 3 Hours. I would suggest an area for improvement in the admission process is that there is lack of management in admission cell
Faculty
For my course, I have been a part of the department of Microbiology and I have a good reputation among the faculty members. For 50 students, there are 10 faculties in department. So it's 5:1 overall. Teaching approaches arre good enough to make a student clear their doubts. The interaction of teachers depends on Student on how often they are willing to work with.
