Likes
- I am studying BSc ZBC in a government college where the fee structure is very low, which makes it affordable and a good opportunity for students from middle income families
- The campus is very large and provides excellent facilities and support for sports students along with a good environment for overall development.
- The teachers are very supportive, understanding, and helpful in studies, which makes learning easier and more comfortable for students.
Dislikes
- Some senior students create noise and disturbance during election time, which affects the study environment and makes it difficult for other students to focus.
- The cleanliness of toilets, bathrooms, and areas outside the campus is not properly maintained, which is uncomfortable for students.
- There is no proper uniform system and discipline rules are not strictly followed, which reduces the overall order and seriousness in the college atmosphere.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I had a science background in 12 th and I am especially interested in Botany and zoology, which are also helpful for preparing for NEET and other competitive exam.the curriculum is useful for basic scientific understanding and future studies, but the college needs better lab facilities and more prectical instrument so students can gain proper hands on experience.the exam pattern is balanced, with some portions being easy and some difficult, while internal exam are generally moderate and depends on the students preparations
Fees and Financial Aid
College fees semester wise depend on course for BSc amount=1920 No addmission fees required For BSc students who passed with 75%+in semester exam college conducted for those students an scholarship monthly account=approx 300-400 College give an scholarship for all SC,ST,OBC students semester wise amount=750.whos any family member not in government job No any external fees required for college Paper fees depends on the courses
Campus Life
Campus Life in the college is positive, with a friendly environment where students intrect well, and senior student organize culture events like fresher and farewell.parties along with sports competition.the library provide no fees access to books for all subjects, classrooms have projectors and smart board for better learning, though laboratory materials are limited, sports facilities such as grounds and equipment are available, and activities like NCC and NSS help students participate in extracurricular work, while the senior student team is supportive if any issues arise.
Admission
I applied to Mahila college Haldwani as well, but due to limited seats and not being able to secure a place there,i continued with my current government college.the eligibility for my course is 12 th pass with science subject, and admission is merit based without any specific cutoff percentage, and I got selected in the second merit list, the admission process was simple, including easy documents verification and online fee payment, qnd
Faculty
The faculty members in my college are friendly, supportive, and approachable, and they always help students by clearing doubts and explaining topics in a simple way. Mrs. Chandrakanta, my Botany teacher, is one of the best teachers as she teaches very clearly and provides complete notes, which helps a lot in understanding the subject. The course syllabus is completed properly for theory exams, but practical exams feel more like a formality because there is limited proper guidance and lack of instruments, so students do not gain much practical knowledge.
Night Life
After classes, students usually spend time in the campus garden, playground, library, and common sitting areas, and these are small food stalls nearby, though a proper canteen is still needed ,the library is open form 10 am to 3:30pm and the campus closes around 4pm ,and many students relax with friends on the benches and open areas around the college.the locality feels safe even in the evening as police patrols are commen on nearby roads,so students feels comfortable moveing around, which helps them relax and enjoy their college life .
