What Students Say

Likes

Well educated and experienced teachers from subject related backgrounds.
Canteens provide good and hygienic food.
Infrastructure is good and aesthetic and well equipped labs.

Dislikes

Canteen spacing is small and not air conditioned.
Outsiders are more than the college students.
Some teachers are less cooperative and less helping but rest are good.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course teaches me the various types of industrial processes. There are regular industrial visits conducted by the college for students. Entrepreneurship skills and business skills are also well thought. Exam difficulty is moderate, you can pass them easily if you study hard. Laboratories are also nice.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement in their final years mostly. Many companies visit which are either related to your current course mostly , some of the companies are also related to sales field. Getting a placement depends on your skills and experiences. Average package is about 450000.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is quite less for bachelor degree. If you are looking for budget friendly college, then it is one of the best option. One can avail for government scholarships like sc/st quota, kashmiri migrants quota etc.

Campus Life

College experience was the most heart touching. I could not forget it my whole life. The quality of education i get, the great teachers whom i experienced aa a student and the curricular activities organised. Award distribution functions are also conducted separately for making the students enthusiastic and motivated for participation in various activities like dancing, singing, plays , etc.

Admission

Admission process is direct. There are basic requirements like 60% in 12th for graduation. Application fee is about 1000-1500. Application could be done online, just keep tract of dates online. Confirmation would be send on your email id and then pay the fee.

Faculty

Teachers are well educated and highly experienced. Specific teachers are provided for particular subjects therefore resulting in high quality education. Most of the teachers are very friendly and are available during the college timings.

Placement Experience:

Although companies do come to our college. The placement rates are almost nil. So I think one should keep that in mind while joining any course in the college. But if one choose right course and the one which interests the person then you can look forward to geta job in the market as you will definitely learn ample amount of things in the college to get you a job once you get out in the real world.

Placement Experience:

As per placements are concerned the records are not too good but the number of companies that are visiting college is increasing every year, Like icici bank and Deloitte. The maximum package offered to the freshers is 4-5lacs and these are pretty well suited as per cost to study. Many students go for higher studies and many go for government exams. I am also planning to do mba after my college ends.

Elgibility was easy as people for any background rather say commerce , arts , non medical or medical . College doesnt have any entrance exam for admission.Students are admitted through centralized admission under DHE chandigarh. The eligibility for admission depends on various factors and varies from course to course. HONEST REVIEW BY OF GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH BY A STUDENT

Eligibiltity of my course was just on my 12th class's board percentage. You can find the application form, application fees and application dates on the official website of GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH There are reservered seats for specific castes although i am from general category so i did not get any type of reservation. The exams are held every 5 to 6 months after the semester end. And they are held from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 pm to 5pm.
