Remarks

First I filled admision form through college website. admission was merit based,and all the selected students were called for counciling which went prity smooth for everyone. Documents were verified and fees was also submitted on the same day.

Course Curriculum Overview

Bvoc is a tri semester programme so mostly exams happened after every four months. Also there are mid terms exams which happens in between every semester. Although these marks are not considered in your final results, failing in mid term could lead to fine.(of around ?500-1000) passing the exams is not very difficult and you can even score really good if you stay regular in your classes.

Class Size: 32Course Fees: INR 23000 per year

Placement Experience

Although companies do come to our college. The placement rates are almost nil. So I think one should keep that in mind while joining any course in the college. But if one choose right course and the one which interests the person then you can look forward to geta job in the market as you will definitely learn ample amount of things in the college to get you a job once you get out in the real world.

Fees and Financial Aid

yearly fees is around 23k to 24k but there is exam fees of around 2700 which you have to pay separately every year. So over all the course costs around 75k to 80k in three years There is no scholarship povided by the college. But panjab university do provide some financial help economically weaker students. I didn't get any job through college. As companies do come for placements but only one or two student get placed or even some times non get placed.

Campus Life

campus life is very diverse and rich in culture at GGDSD College. majority of the students are from himachal and punjab so a vibe is present in the campus. There are multiple department's own fests and one college fest which happens yearly. library is also there with thousands of books related to all topics and categories. there is also an E-library with around 15lakh books and journals present in it there are multiple groups and clubs in GGDSD College. Like- rotaract club NSS NCC TEDx GGDSD Saksham- drama society and many more

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement in their final years mostly. Many companies visit which are either related to your current course mostly , some of the companies are also related to sales field. Getting a placement depends on your skills and experiences. Average package is about 450000.

Placement Experience:

As per placements are concerned the records are not too good but the number of companies that are visiting college is increasing every year, Like icici bank and Deloitte. The maximum package offered to the freshers is 4-5lacs and these are pretty well suited as per cost to study. Many students go for higher studies and many go for government exams. I am also planning to do mba after my college ends.

Elgibility was easy as people for any background rather say commerce , arts , non medical or medical . College doesnt have any entrance exam for admission.Students are admitted through centralized admission under DHE chandigarh. The eligibility for admission depends on various factors and varies from course to course. HONEST REVIEW BY OF GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH BY A STUDENT

Eligibiltity of my course was just on my 12th class's board percentage. You can find the application form, application fees and application dates on the official website of GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH There are reservered seats for specific castes although i am from general category so i did not get any type of reservation. The exams are held every 5 to 6 months after the semester end. And they are held from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 pm to 5pm.
