- Very strict attendance criteria (75%) and if it is less than 75% you are not allowed
- Huge breaks between consecutive classes and sometimes classes got cancelled at last times without informing.
- Library is closed on saturday and sunday and on normal days timings is 10 am to 5:30pm
Course Curriculum Overview
In first semester, there are common subjects that are to students of every branch.In second semester there are 2 or 3 branch specific subjects and remaining are common subjects. These subjects help to gain the basic knowledge that every engineer must posseses.
Internships Opportunities
There are no internship opportunities provided to the students of the first year by the training and placement department of the college. However, if the student has a good amount of skills he or she can grab an internship in the third or fourth year.
Placement Experience
This year's placements are not good for several reasons. the average package of the college is rupees 13 lakhs per annum. For it sector, it is around 15 lakhs per annum and for core branches, it is around 10 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
tuition fee is 230000 for full year and it increases every year little by little and hostel expenses is around 1,10,000 including mess .Scholorship is available for sc and st class.If you are a permanenet faculty there you will be provided with the nice accomodation.
Campus Life
Campus life is above average definitely. Moksha the biggest fest of nsut takes place in March and many of the biggest artists in the art field like King, Sunidhi Chouhan, etc. There is a lot of greenery around the campus and there are many different kinds of birds living on the campus.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is quite average . There are big cupboards provided for the students There are some single and double rooms . The mess facility is quite poor as in other government colleges. Meals are provided four times a day. Non-hostellers cannot enter the hostel as security is quite tight.
Admission
for the admission process , I went through a list of procedures.first of all anybody taking part in councelling have to fill up the jac councelling form and fill the choices according to the ranks.Then there are some rounds in which if the student name appears for the first time he/she have to visit a college prescribed by the jac councelling brouchure and then fill some amout in the jac account .
Faculty
the faculty to student ratio is very high and it is sometimes very difficult to approach them.However,it also depends on the faculty's personality himself sometimes it is very easy to approach them and sometimes they try to avoid it
