Likes

Nice campus and good hostel facilities.From 2nd yr onwards there is single rooms for every student
Water supply and electricity is 24 hours
People from all over India and good library and college is fully air conditioned

Dislikes

No programmes other than fest ....no entertainment opportunities
No good playing ground only a single ground which is too small
Staying in hostel during Summers is unthinkable

The courses from this college is mainly self prepared. There is not a lot of spoon feeding in this college which is good because it gives a lot of opportunities for trial and error to improve ourselves

Overall experience of college is satisfactory. College programmes that is fest and sports are not that satisfactory and lack a lot of important components. Sports is very scarce as there is no proper ground for playing

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is very good with 24hr water and current supply at just 10k There are individual rooms from 2nd year and thus gives the freedom and flexibility of an individual room. There are a 15floors and there are 2 lifts which can be used. But during Summers the absence of AC becomes evident due to the extensive kolkata heat

Admission

Entrance is through NEET exam and cut off varies from year to year. The website is mcc which is the main website for AIQ and IP quota for wars of IP STUDENTS IP stands for insured person i.e is persons whose either of the parents have an ESI MEDICAL CARD working under a private firm Admission process is easy and quick State quota which is people who have their state of domicile as WEST BENGAL have a different system of applying through the state website

Faculty to student ratio is a bit increased but is sufficient and good There is faculty from around India and gets lot of exposure and insights on different types of medical cultures in India Good amounts and varieties of cases during internship

The course curriculum is quite well maintained till 3rd year but the final year syllabus is too vast to complete within 1 year. I feel duration has to be increased a bit. The process of acquiring knowledge entirely depends on the individual pursuing this course as there is no spoonfeeding as in other courses.

Placement Experience:

If you can pass the exam that is very tough to pass if you're not serious at all, you'll be able enough to get into any nursing home or you can start treating people staring your own clinic. After 4.5 years you get the internship program that is mandatory to do for all where you get a salary of 32000 per month which is highest among all states . If you manage to be in the top 100 students of the batch of 250 you get one year job in the same hospital with a fees of 50000 and just 48 hours duty per week. If you do nursing home you can get around 70-90k per month based on how much you spent time on work .

For getting admission to medical college, one has to qualify NEET UG and secure a decent rank for the admission process. Counseling for mobs course takes place on the MCC site and based on rank, category, and preference you are allowed college. For this ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE JOKA KOLKATA : Counseling by AQI, State quota, and IP (insure person) quota. Cutoff: it varies slightly year by year The application process is very simple, first register at the MCC site for counseling and get an allotment letter and then reach the allotted college and do the rest of the procedure asked by the college for the admission process.
