Likes

I very much like the environment of the college and also the teaching stuff
There are many activities to do and college is very active in cultural programs
Every month many semminer held in college which are very usefull and knowledgeable

Dislikes

The play ground is not that perfect to play it could be better
The parking place of bike and cars are not suitable
The canteen food could be better and can provide variety of foods

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very exciting learning so e new stuff which you never heard before because commerce subjects are not common subjects no one have studied commerce subjects in 10 but after that we use to learn about commerce. And the course curriculum is very easy to understand and exciting

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 780 per year

Internships Opportunities

In college we got many internships as I got marketing internship in summer vacation and from recents it's frequient approach of college to do Internship and our teaching stuff also encourage us to do Internship which increase our knowledge in field work

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes in our college students got scholarship from from nsp and in our college those students who's financial condition is not stable then they can apply for income certificate and for that there fees got low other then the others.

Campus Life

The college is fun life you got many friends which became brother at the end and the sports activities are often happen inthe college. Many types of games are played including football, volleyball, cricket, badminyon, kabaddi,tennis, long jump, high jump etc

Admission

The addmison process is easy to get seat in gauhati commerce college in b.com course you have to register your name in samarth then select college then if you name came in college merit list which will be published in college website if your name is in that list you got selected. And can take admission online.

The teaching stuff is good they teach very well and sometimes in class they I terect with students also and they also guide us for future preparation. But the intersection not happen with every faculty members some faculty members do not interest with students but the majority test faculty members do so.

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Likes

The networking and the contacts that GU provides.
Exposure to various aspects. Chance of self discovery
Great environment. Loved the campus. A great place to study also the Library and canteens. Connectivity

Dislikes

Too much pressure on students in certain cases.
Very slow processing of documents by the authorities
Very delayed results of all the semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

The environment is good peace' and calm .
The campus is good clean and good faculties
Reputed name , the courses are good overall feels good to be a part of this college

Dislikes

People's are arogants, egoistic , do nepotism.
Attendance matters then knowledge, if a student have less attendance in one subject also they don't provide them to give exam.
Lengthy course and less classes the professor completed the syllabus in just 2 months, they say the semester have 6 months but we are giving the finals in 3rd month!

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate it 7 cause lengthy course less classes, Exam timing are vast others colleges held there exam on the last month of the year but our college held there exam on the 3rd month of the semester overall not good

I applied to a lot of other colleges but those were all backup for me if I didn't get admission here . I applied in dispur college , kc das commerce college , guwahati college etc . We are admitted to colleges here using the samarth website. There are two merit lists provided by each college in the samarth website. I wasn't selected in the 1st merit list in gcc which ofcourse scared me a bit , but I got my names in the other previously mentioned colleges but I wanted to wait for the second merit list for which I had to hear a lot like what if I didn't even get my name on the second list of gcc . But I was sure I would get because my percentage was just 0.4% short from the cut off of the last merit list . I wanted this college because of emotional attachments + gcc has one of the best merits among all the commerce colleges in the entire northeast . Even this year in the toppers list published by gauhati university, 9 out of 10 students were from Gcc itself...Read More
