Course Curriculum Overview

3

I find the working of electrical machines very fascinating which lead me to choose and explore this course more. Also the curriculum here is pretty much in accordance with the practical world be it higher studies or the placement scenario. Besides here the focus is more on practical labs which is great but the experiments should be more on learning the actual scenario behind the very concept or instrument rather than just on conducting experiments

Internships Opportunities

3

Morgan Stanley, Texas instruments, Amazon, pwc etc provide internships here. But to grab an internship is very tough and based on your skills and you should be great at it. Projects are of course choosen and then you have to show your prelearnt skill over that

Placement Experience

4

The placement season starts from the onset of 7th semester only and the record of placements in this university is very appreciable. Like Oracle, Amazon, Texas instruments, Adobe, Morgan Stanley etc visit our campus. The highest placement offer has been of 1.5 cr this year and average for my department is 12-13 lacs per annum. About 95% of students have been placed so far. And for me I am going to sit for placements only after the completion of course

Fees and Financial Aid

The university is very affordable. Fee hike is very minimal almost nothing. Be it hostel fee or academics fee or stationary or food, canteens everything here is cheap and affordable. Still the university provides freeship program by which eligible students can get the course fee back.

Campus Life

3

The fests here are not that huge but still average like the biggest fest here is called "sanskriti" which includes activities like dancing, singing, photography, painting and of course musical nights held in April . The club's here are active enough including coding, jfm ( modelling) etc. Besides many sports competitions also take place here. The classrooms are of average quality. The infrastructure needs to be improved

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel here provide basic facilities in room that are necessary and other things you have to get by yourself. The meal quality is not that good that's why the hostel charges are less. Other than mess charges hostel doesn't charge you anything. But registration of hostel is quite tough.you get hostel based on your income and distance

Admission

The course eligibility is quite good you have to be in the top level of your exams. The application process was very easy and convenient with bare minimum fee of I guess 100 rupees. I think admission process was very convenient and hassle free for me. The difficulty of exams is quite good and upto the mark

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:10 which is very compatible and makes it easy for learning. Also the faculty in my department is highly qualified and experienced and are mostly friendly but I do find a gap between students and faculty when it comes to interaction and approachability. Like not giving enough time for students to explore their interests and self learning

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I'm in first year so I don't got into my specialization that much , but from my knowledge we are getting knowledge about all domain in a portion which will help us in our future . This also helps us to decide that specifically which domain is best for us . Since I'm in first year so I didn't have my exams yet because of the late admission in college the reason for late admission was stay in admission by the Calcutta Highcourt due to some issues on reservation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

-> CSE is the main stream because under this, other courses like Cybersecurity can be learned as extra courses, while still learning things that are very important like DSA and DAA. -> Everything is taught slightly fast and students have to keep up everyday. Even one class missed will be heavy on studying. -> The mic quality in some classes are bad and should be improved. It's impossible to understand what the teachers says when using them. -> Usually term exams start one month after the start of a semester, with the Semester exam being held 3 months later.
