Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this curriculum because i was interested in research field and to study about different diseases, their prevalence and prevention. This course helped to achieve what i looked for in this subject. Now i am doing masters' and now i understand how fine was the syllabus of fergusson college. Many things what students are learning here for the first time, i already learnt in my UG. Laboratories should be renovated to match the curriculum and equipments are comparatively old and less in number. College has continuous assessment during which students are evaluated based on their assignments (presentation skills), monthly tests and lastly end semester exams. Difficulty level is moderate, questions asked are concepr based.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Sadly, internships are not offered by the college but students can do project under a specific faculty during their course duration. College helps students to search for internship by calling various companies for lectures to give insight about the work opportunities after the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is taken yearly and is around 55-60K INR for maharashtra students and for non-maharashtra students, it is around 80-90K. It include all the tuition, library, computer, exam and security fees. Maharashtrian plus students of backward classes can avail full fees scholarship. Placement is not so good in fergusson and can provide good connections with reputated companies.

Campus Life

5

Fergusson college is known for its fests. Annual cultural fest by the name spandan is organized every year in which there are many events namely, dance, singing, open mic, drama and instrumental. Josh is annual sports event organized side by side of spandan. Along with this, inter departmental competitions are also their. In which each department, organizes departmental fest, decorates the departments, calls sponsors, organizes various games and competitions basef on a particular theme, and an audit team judges each department. DJs are called and those 7 days of fest are real fun days

Admission

Admission was based on 12th marks and merit list. Eligibility was to score 75% in PCB. But cut off is quite high for general category and is around 94%. Application forms are available after the declaration of maharashtra board results on the college website. Paying Fees and everything is done online, only the counselling is done offline and is based on merit +first come, first serve. For masters degree, college entrance exam is to be given and the difficulty level is moderate, Computer based test

Faculty

4.5

There are different faculty for different subjects and all are well-qualified. Many have completed their Phd and have multiple qualifications. Faculty uses flexible mode for teaching, for example, uses board, online videos, presentations and sometimes outdooe teaching, which makes learning easy and fun. All the faculties are quite approachable and friendly. Every student has been assigned a faculty mentor to whom student can share their problems

Placement Experience:

placements can happen in any semester starting from 2nd semester, it completely depends on the companies which come to the campus for cadets. 95% of the cadets get placed at the end of their course. teh packages vary from 300000 to 1200000 per year. note that this is the stipend you get while training, once this training is finished and you have al the certifications and are medically fit for sailing you get ti earn 10 times more only after 2 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

While searching on internet I got to know about this course that's where I earned interest for this course that made choose this course. The practical knowledge shared by the faculty at their best helps for real life applications but still practical knowledge is gained beyond college course pattern which can be gain in internships. By providing more practical knowledge beyond the theory part of the course may help students greatly by learning real life experiences. Exams are usually held by morning at the college timing (9:30 am).

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. There are campus placements but my seniors are yet to get placed. Since we are secknd batch of data science we don't know much about how is the placement for data science students. There are good placements for bms students. I will be doing master after this degree and won't opt for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of the teachers who teach that. I had my siblings telling me that they love the way their teachers taught them. They make it so easy to understand and give you so much advice to grow and have great success. Also, this college is just a treasure of other curriculum activities. Once you got to know that they held those kinda functions over these years you can't resist and will participate in those functions. As it the course was difficult but teachers will make it easy they will guide you in any problem that you have and encourage you to learn more skills so you can be more successful.
