Likes

A lot of opportunities are here so many can Excel in their particular domains.
Diversity in campus is there.. People from so many regions even abroad are here so can make good connections
Good campus is here . It's 250 acres beautiful campus even libraries are good .

Dislikes

Placements stats are not so good as inflation is too much
Faculties and all are not good .. not supporting and many even not good educated
Management is not supportive hence students have to face many problems

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is okay ... We get to knew about many technologies as I am into cse .. so a lot of new courses they provide even they let us pay for subscription like LinkedIn learning and Coursera which is not there in most of the colleges ... Test are taken 2 times as mid sem test which is of 1 hr each and at last one end sem exam of 3 hr ... Rest they also take viva practicals in between but curriculum changes every year so you have to see

Fees and Financial Aid

While coming to college, you have to write cucet exam which is online exam and you can get upto full scholarship but most of the students only hey upto 40 or 50 percent ... And you have to maintain above 7.5 gpa every year if you want that scholarship to implement further else it will be removed and never indulge agan no matter how better you again perform ... If you have a good financial background then come else no need to for another low fees colleges .

Campus Life

Yeah overall college is good it has good infrastructure as well it's a 250 actres campus .. containing cafeteria , good parks , parking , blocks , ground , sports complex which is separate so a lot of things are there and even the college have a lot of clubs from singinh, dancing to robotics and so many coding as well as sports , ncc clubs are here ... So overall environment is good

Admission

Yeah ... You can get admission on basis of cucet exam ... Into which if u score good u will get good scholarship ( most students cheat bcoz its online exam only)..else If you have scored good into your boards then also you will get scholarship if you have abover 85 or 90 percent into your boards ..cutoff may be as much as I can remember is 60 marks for 40 percentage scholarship and it increases further.

Some of them are Good educated mostly from management. But when it comes to faculties so many of them just studied or done their masters and PhD from nearby college hence they are not that much capable ... So mostly students have to study all of these things from their own ... So students study it from YouTube mostly

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Placement Experience:

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
