Life in JIS University

The aspects of developing software and cybersecurity captivated my interest and influenced my decision to opt for this course. The curriculum prepared us very well for the real world applications or further academic pursuits.

Tuition fee doesn't increase as long as goverment doesn't issue a notice to do so. The complete cost of education is 5.7 lakhs in total including all the charges that are charged on campus. SVMCM is a scholarship issued by WB government which gives students 60k rupees yearly if their family income is less than 2.5 lakhs.

Annual cultural fest is held at the end of each academic year and other tech fests are held in between whenever possible. The library consists a vast collection of books and can be used whenever necessary. The facilities and technological provisions within classrooms are excellent and top notch. Sports and extracurricular activities are a very common occurrence in the campus and are of high standard. The Google developer students club helps a lot in starting with programming and coding side which is new to a lot of students.

Admission process was pretty smooth. The eligibilty criteria is to have given wbjee. The application forms fees and everything can found in the office. Frequency of exams is twice within 6 months and they are not too much on the harder side.

The teacher to student ratio is perfectly maintained and balanced so it is neither a problem for the faculty and not the students. We can interact with teachers as often as we like and as openly as we like as they're pretty friendly. Their teaching methods and mentorship is outstanding as they make learning a whole lot easier.
