I liked the students and the professors calmness mind and the students friendly behaviour, there was no ragging or something , I just say one thing u will love asutosh College when u admission in this college, there was many more festivals that u li
I just want to say that the college festival like freshers farewell are more attractive and this type of enjoyment feel u the college vibe .
Last thing the level of study is very well satisfied . The professors was highly qualified and when u admission in this college u will know it

Dislikes

There was not any dislike thing , but one thing I am not satisfied is about the canteen , the canteen food was not quite good
Other thing politics is everywhere in college life so if u want to do politics i don't know it can be good or bad for u but in my opinion u should do politics.

Course Curriculum Overview

Mathematics is the mother of all science, so there was the reason I just love mathematics and if u don't love math don't take it in honours , cause if u don't love it u don't understand anything but if u admitted in this college and don't love it professors will help u to love this subject , whenever u attend class u will know exactly what I was saying.

Internships Opportunities

There was Flipkart and byjus and many more companies who hire students and internship for students as a manager or many posts , I don't know much about cause I don't want to do any internship or placement

Placement Experience

In last semester students are eligible for campus placement, the companies should be byjus Amazon , Flipkart , and many more . The amount of salaries like 2-3 lpa , the percentage was quite low cause the salary was not too good . And like I also not get an placement cause my plan was to crack competative exam and I also doing MSC from Calcutta University

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee and extra curriculam fee quite low , like 6522 so that is the semester fee . There was no other charges but there was a examination fee that it , if u get admission in this college a middile class also Handel the fees, the students are enjoyable and u will also know when u get admission, there was such companies like by jus , Amazon they will hire , and the amount was 2 lpa ,

Campus Life

There was many more festivals but the best freshers and farewell, my god when u attend the function u think u r in a club,now the library has many books of u r need , there was no air condition but the classes are not dirty , there was football cricket badminton and many more ,there was not any social groups but politics is everywhere but they cannot harm students they are helpfull ,

Admission

U should passed hs with science with higher percentage like 80% and above , and I think that much percentage is best , u will find the application form online , yes there was reservation benefits, the difficulty level was high because of there was many applications for admission,

Faculty

The students ratio must be 50:50 and if u apply in asutosh college u see that they just approve a good student in their college, so if u get the chance to admission in this college ur brain become upgrade , i already told that teachers are highly qualified, if u don't understand anything they will teach until u understand,and trust me the best college life ever in asutosh

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

My experience at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.

Our college has a very active placement cell that fetches jobs for everyone who needs and deserve it. The highest package was 24 lacs per annum last year and it is only expected to go up this round almost all students to set for placements are placed but in my department specifically most opt for higher studies like myself.

I applied in a lot of colleges such as presidency, st Xavier's College Kolkata, Lady Brabourne, Loreto , Scottish Church got accepted in scottish, Loreto , brabourne I chose Asutosh because they made me feel comfortable and has the best geography department. I have applied for Dinabandhu Andrews College and also New Alipore College for mathematics hons and I got selected for both the colleges and I started class in Dinabandhu Andrews College for few days but there the faculty used to talk in Bengali and the faculty members are not really good also the ambience so I applied in Asutosh College and I got selected too over there....so I shifted to Asutosh College, as I always wanted to persue this course from Asutosh College due to there faculty in this subject is really very good. I applied for Bangabashi college, Surendranath college, Vidyasagar college... but Asutosh College was my dream...because it is the best co-ed college for Psychology...that's why everyone who wants to study psychology literally craves for the department..I was also one of them..and I'm really grateful to God for helping me to get into this college. An honest opinion by a recent graduate

I applied to presidency, st. Xavier's, but as I was from Covid batch, I couldn't meet the required cutoff for those colleges. So yes I got rejection from them. Had I given my ISC board exams, I believe I'd have scored better marks, but hard luck :) I willingly chose this college over the other colleges of Calcutta University, considering this is the best. This college gets numerous applications, so it might be difficult to get the admission, but work upon your merit and connections. There's no entrance. You need to meet their eligibility criteria which keeps get changing, so refer to their website. Your merit will be considered. You must have a good network as well.
