Likes

I liked the societies and opportunities and competitions you can experience within the 1st year of college. Meeting different personalities and working with them for societal work teaches you how to manage things within a group.

Dislikes

I don't think so I dislike anything but obviously, placements don't provide you CA articleship through college. In Gargi, we didn't get that opportunity whereas in another college they did last year.

Course Curriculum Overview

Bcom hons helped me a lot during my CA Intermediate prep as well. That was the reason why I choose Bcom in the first place. Many subjects were overlapping in both these courses. Plus bcom hons give you a overview about many subjects such as accounting, audit, eco, taxation. After doing bcom hons you can easily decide in which subject you want to do you job or internship. I went with audit though!

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Placement provide you ample opportunities for lading yourself a good job. Delloitte recruited approximately 20 students having package of 6Lakh per annum with other facilities and providing you assistance for CPA along with job. The fees of this course is 10,000 per year which is too less compared to private college fees. So everyone can afford this but if you don't have that financial background you can easily reach out to teachers for assistance

Campus Life

Gargi college had many societies. These can be differentiated into two type - 1. Course wise society 2. Skill wise society 3. Intention wise society Every course has its own society. For skills like dancing, singing etc they have separate society 3rd is intention societies like NSS, enactus etc

Admission

Delhi university provide college and course wise list. If you can sports quota you can get some % exempted from the cutoff to get your dream college Sports, music etc quota they provide where you need to fill out a form and show your certificates and you can get 2-3% exemption easily.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is great. Atleast better than some other colleges. In my section there were approximately 50 students. For each subjects there were 2-3 different faculties allocated to different section 1:50 ratio according to me is great. Teachers know students personally because of the small number in one section

I have heard that only 1-2% of the students got placement in our college and they have average package of 7LPA and final year students are eligible for the placements held in our college.as first I will try of make my cgp good and to be selected in the interview for the placement try my best if not i will be doing further studies for my masters

A students insight on his college

Placement Experience:

Eligibility is 5th semester onwards you can get campus placement. Deloitte, TATA, nestle, other big MNC's Highest is around 20 lacs and average is around 5 lacs. 60-70 % students get places but it can be higher or lesser depending upon the crowd of students , their talents. I think I would choose a professional course like civil servant.

Curriculum is old and rigid, the still teach old methods and syllabus is updated very slow. But with introduction of SEC and VAC courses student have some different options which the can choose to study for their semester.

Dyal Singh College is definitely a great college!!

Placement Experience:

PWC, Icici Prudential and like wise companies which needed students for finance and accountancy roles offers placements to students. Many new startups too have started coming and this has made placements percentage shoot up in recent past.

Placement Experience:

From 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements I am not sure about the number of offers made but last year Deloitte visited the campus for recruitment. Highest package is around 11lpa plz check on Google. And average is around 5-6 lpa. Seniors told me around 30-40% of the batch gets placement. My plan is to do mba after college

It's a decent college, but better than many other colleges

Placement Experience:

Final year students(5th semester) are eligible for the placements, many famous company recruits, like Deloitte, flipkart,amazon and there's many local companies as well. The highest pakage in 2024 was 24LPA. 20-30% students gets the placement as most of the students opt for Higher studies or get into competitive exams. The jobs offered are based on your course.

Placement Experience:

After the graduation the students are Eligible for the placement and internship are provided in the same during graduation or courses. And some of the good companies which visited and made the offers. The average package of the company offered that 1 lakh approx in the placements this opportunity starts in du also now the good student can do this. Getting a 90% Above Mark's . After completing my graduation I will take admission in maters also. And also prepare the government exam's.
