Likes

CU provides us a good exposure to the industry and teachers here are very supportive and nice
it have a great infrastructure and facilities it have all the things a college should have, sports facilities are also very nice
This university patners up with industry top companies and launch industry driven programs in which experienced faculty from industry come and teach

Dislikes

we have to walk alot as it have a very big campus
students intake here is very high and there are less opportunities as compared to student intake
lot of examintaions we have 3 theory tests and 3 practical in a single semester which impiles more than 1 exam in a month

Course Curriculum Overview

curriculum can be better. they have very high frequency of exams and the diificulty level is also medium thatis nice. they also conduct different types of workshops that is basically for the better placements starting from the first semester only

Internships Opportunities

internship opportunities are also given in the 3rd and 4th semster of the 2nd year and many people also grab it. some great interships programs are also here inside the university onoly like ibm and itc

Placement Experience

college does provide placements in 4th year basically after 7th semester we are eligible (it is according to the course we have opted out) average package is 3.5-4 lakhs and highest can go upto 1 cr. Many companies vist campus like google ibm microsoft amazon

Fees and Financial Aid

there is great scholarships availabe that can be availed from there entrance test CUCET but you have to maintain 7.5 CGPA per semster to continue the scholarship. fee structure for my course is 1.36 lakhs per semester that sums upto 2.72 lakhs per yearand my scholarship is 40% so it is much less. financial assitance is also provided here like educational loans etc

Campus Life

campus life is okayish and clubs are great anf=d infraacture provided is very great and it helps alot in the campus life. great food outlets are also availabe in the campus. fests and concertws are also frequent herer

Hostel Facilities

hostels are nice and wardens are also chill but hostel in and out process is too much timetaking and frustating sometimes. mess food is quite good and there are food outlets and departmental stores are available around hostels

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

they also take admission from different entrance exams and from their own entrance exam and the admission process was very easy and it can be completed online only we dont need to visit campus for admission process

Faculty

Faculty here are very kind and nice and they are also well qualified in different fileds and they are experts in their own fields also. They help students in research stuff and help them in publish their reasearch papers and patents. My overall experinece for the faculty was very nice and the ratio of 1 faculty to students is also 1:40

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
