Likes

Decent Placement considering the fact that there are so many students
Great hostel facility as the rooms are clean and spacious.
Superb infrastructure with all the latest technology and all the facilities for studying and the Campus is huge.

Dislikes

Mess food is not that good. Sometimes there are some insects found in food.
Class strength is huge. We have 55 sections and each section bas around 70-80 students.

Course Curriculum Overview

There is great placement after doing B.Tech in CSE. That is the main reason to choose this course. This university helps us a lot to make us learn about the real world applications by providing analytical and real time assignments. In each semester there are 2 exams or 4 exams per year and it is of little bit difficult level.

Placement Experience

Yes the college placements are good. Students from 6th semester get eligible for placement and internship from 5th semester. There are a lot of companies such as Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix,Google, Delloite, Cognizant, Accenture, Cabgemini, TCS, Infosys etc. Almost all the students get placed. Highest package is of 70-80 Lakhs and average is about 6 Lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no such sudden hike and increase in the tuition fees. Your whole degree would cost you around 20-22 Lakhs. There are many scholarships available to students those who have lost their parents to Covid 19. Also the topper students are given scholarships.

Campus Life

KIITFEST is organized in every year in a grand way for 3 days. Besides that, every society of KIIT organizes it's own event which is no less than a fest. KIIT's Central Library is one of the best and biggest library you can see. It has all kinds of books. Apart from that there are departmental libraries of every department and reading room in hostels. A superb place for sports lovers, has each and every kind of sport. There are many societies.

Admission

The admission was done through KIITEE exam. You have to score around 75 percentile plus for securing CSE. Other than CSE you can have other branches for less percentile. The admission process was very smooth. If you have to go through the KIITEE website for all the details. Whole process is online. And there are 5 phases of KIITEE exam. You can appear multiple phases. Your best result would be considered.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:60. The faculties here are good and have qualified from great institutes like IIT. They are good mentors. You can approach the teacher after class hours when the teacher is free or else you can clear your doubts in class itself.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

KIIT is worth your money without any doubt!!!!

Students generally have to give the KIITEE exam (exam registration can be done from the official college website, https://kiit.ac.in). Admission can also be done through management quota or your jee main score (Information regarding that is regularly updated on the official Kiit website. Reservations: 15% of seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 3% for physically challenged students. Suggested changes: Honestly, the admission process is smooth and easy.
