Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I'm really grateful for studying under the Assam Govt.s decided course curriculum. As I've compared my studies with other universities, I could tell how much more I've learnt in all those years. We've started off from 16th century literature till 20th century modern writings. Not only that, we've also got to choose our own country and specific literature in the 2nd year. Which really made me happy as I always wanted to study American literature. So it was pretty much of great experience.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

As for this part, as it was a govt. College the fee was pretty much lower than expected. Every semester paid like a few hundred bucks and yearly like around 8000 bucks. So it's not much comparing to other universities, specially private institutions.

Campus Life

4.5

As a only girls student college, I encountered some of hugely talented girls who were about to become increadible women. I would just like to say that as a shy, nervous, introvert girl, Handique Girl's College did nothing but enhanced my whole personality a lot. It made confident, outspoken, more vocal about my needs and perceptions and overall say in things of life

Admission

When I was applying, the cut off was around 70% in 12th grade. But then also it depends on different courses and honours. As my percentage was above 85%, it was not a hassle for to get admitted at all. I could choose which ever department i wanted.

Faculty

4.5

All our teachers are highly qualified when it comes to what they are teaching. As an English Literature student, I loved books from childhood and to find teachers are living in those study materials for years is a blessing. The way I've mold my views and perceptions against literature is shocking for me too. Wheather it's related to the old era or the modern writings, the whole department helped me creating my own interpretations throughout those years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and books followed here are really relevant if you want to appear for competitive exams. Books from the authors like Rajeev Bhargava, OP Gauba, M. Laxmikant are followed here. I chose this course solely on the syllabus. Just the con is that few of the teachers don't know how to teach.

Course Curriculum Overview:

• I had a great interest in field of media, I always loved talking and so I choose this exploring field of mass communication and I also applied for the same course in most of the colleges previously. • I must write this here that our department really has the most coolest and understanding faculties and the students, my super seniors, immediate seniors, juniors and my batchmates we all share a warm relationship and try to connect and together are a family away from home. • We have currently 5 faculties and each of them are expertise in their main subject and I would review the teaching method 4* out of 5 *. •Our Term exams were on time and mostly the theory papers are of 100 marks and practical ones 50 marks. Seriously you don't have to struggle if you are an average student but if you really want to score decent marks you need to study hard for that.
