Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have chosen civil in nitj because this is the best branch which I can take according to my percentile. Curriculum is good teaches everything with practical implications. They should reduce the assignments and projects which is a bad side of curriculum. There are 2 exams every semester, 1 mid sem and 1 end sem on the gap of about 1.5 months.

Placement Experience

4

From 7th sem student is eligible for campus placement. Many companies visit like Goole, Microsoft, infosis, etc. Average pakage is about 5lpa and highest pakage is about 1+ cpa last year. After completing my civil degree I'll try for government services.

Fees and Financial Aid

For general the fee is 1.8lakhs/yr and hostel fee is 80k/yr. Campus employment is good. Every branch student gets decent placement. You'll get scholarships like on the basis of category. Overall fee for general student is 2.7lakhs/yr which is very high for a government institute.

Campus Life

5

For odd sem there is a fest called techniti(oct) and for even sem there is utkansh(mar) fest. There is a multi floor library with vast variety of books. Classrooms have blackboard, Blue board, projector, podium, audio podium, ac, fans. There are many clubs and social groups like prayas( teaching workers children), NSO(parade, sports, etc), Swc(student welfare works like planting tress spreading awareness)

Hostel Facilities

5

In first year rooms at bh2 you get a decent room for 4 people, 4 almirah, 4 beds but bedsheets and other stuff has to be buyed by own. 2 fans, lan connection, a balcony. Taking about hostel it has a wahing machine room, a small library, a sports room for indoor games, tv room, study room, greenery, garden area for outdoor sports, some exercise equipments. Mess food is too good. ???? Note that this all is about bh2 hostel which is the best hostel for 1st year boys????

Admission

Since I'm an obc candidate so for me not much benifit of reservation. Admission process is too good, you just go on with the Jossa counselling and then every single step is given to you by collage website and every thing is done online before visiting collage.

Faculty

5

Faculty to teacher ratio is good only a single class goes without teacher. One time in sem1 our teacher of management left the collage so they arranged a new facility the very next day. Teachers focus on teaching and solving doubts no unnecessary waste of time.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is good and it is improving since then. TPO looks after this process and it is responsible to call comapnies to the college and discuss about the eligibility of the students who can appear for the placements. For internships, students in the 3rd year appear for it while for placements 4th year students can appear. The average package is approx. 8-9 LPA while the highest has gone to 64 LPA during my college duration. Almost all students get placement.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

College does provide a decent number of companies to students to get placed but as per seniors Companies come with good package but students fail to grab them. Students are eligible for placement form 7th semester. As data given to us from t&p for this year currently the minimum package is 6 lpa and average is touching 8 but don't get excited it's just the starting months of placement season. My plan is to get a good college for post grad as that was my plan from the start ??
