Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My course curriculum is quite good . My branch is mathematics and computing and it is better than computer science as it contains maths which really helps with the understanding of coding but our faculty doesn't encourage students to develop skills in particular field like web development, data analytics. Our exam difficulty is medium.i mean it not very easy .

Placement Experience

3

Placement in our used to be good but now average package is something between 6to 7 lakh. Generally students can apply for in their final year . Students must have 7.5 cgpa to sit in placements .During NIT Hamirpur Placement 2023, top companies like CRED, Stryker Corporation, Philips, etc. visited the campus for recruitment purposes.Highest package was of INR 173 LPA while the average package stood at INR 7.54 LPA. a total of 690 students were placed out of 952 students . I am going mtech after btech with a better college after clearly gate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees is quite high as this a government college every student should be able to afford it . Tuition fees of our similar to private colleges.our yearly tuition fees is 150000 and yearly hostel fees 70000. Scholarship are provided but it is based on caste and scholarship are also provided to students performance is very good and working on projects

Campus Life

3.5

It's an autonomous engineering college offering quality education in various fields. It has a vibrant campus life thanks to its excellent infrastructure and crowd. Various books are available in Library for students books for academics and books for even different courses are available. There are many clubs and societies like iste which is a technical society . There are mainly two fest nimbus and hillfair . Nimbus is a technical fest in which students gets to show their projects and ideas

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels facilities are not that good. Mess food is very bad abd water supply condition in hostel is poor . Water is not available 24 hrs . Every room is 4 seater . Room used 3. Seater. Room are quite small for 4 students. Registration process is quite we have do it online during vacation for the next semester

Admission

Admission process is quite simple on the day admission you need to be physically present there with documents they asked like caste certificate,12th marksheet,10th marksheet score card of jee , transfer certificate. They give the application form and there no application fees you just need pay tuition fees and hostel fees

Faculty

2

Faculty teaching style differw from branch to branch like electrical falcuty is very strict and not supportive at all. Our interaction with is very less .they don't even try solve problem . My learning experience was quite bad as i was not understand many topic due their teaching methods . Some teachers don't even wanna teach their classes get cancelled on regular basis

Placement Experience:

Placements are mainly offered in the 4th year. Companies start to approach students in the 7th semester. Students get internship offers in 3rd year (by 5th semester). Paytm, Amazon, Infosys, IBM, Qualcomm, and Samsung are major companies which come to campus for placement. But the no of companies coming for placement is not sufficient. The highest package offered is generally above 1 Cr. But the average is somewhere around 7-8 lakh per year. Most of the students in CSE and ECE are placed (MNC is a new branch so data regarding this is unavailable). Placements in other branch are not good.
