Course Curriculum Overview
I think the course curriculum is the part where our college needs more attention as in our college in B.Tech course students are taught about constitution of India (which they have already studied in school level) and these courses won't be of any value to them in there upcoming years instead of these they can add or focus more on our stream related subjects
Internships Opportunities
As currently I am in 1st year so haven't got any internship yet but in my known many seniors have grabbed internships from our college. Recently one our IT 3rd year senior has grabbed summer internship in IIT kharagpur and also many tech based companies come for internship in our college.
Placement Experience
Our college has a descent placement record compared to other B .Tech private colleges . A student can get multiple job offers depending upon his caliber and students and are eligible for campus placements from 6th sem itself. Above 85% students are placed every year. Companies like TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, AMAZON , ACCENTURE etc etc visit our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our entire course tution fee is quite affordable compared to other colleges which is 6 lakhs for the entire course(B.TECH (IT)) as of the year 2023-27. It was 550000 when I took admission but they increased it after same due to some government regulations (they say) . Our college provides a good number of scholarships including from the government schemes to colleges own scholarship which includes sibling scholarships, JIS to JIS scholarship, and a scholarship of 1 lakh for the topper in every stream
Campus Life
In our college various clubs are present like dance club, music club, coding club, and many other and various sports club are also present these clubs hosts program regularly. Every year annual College Fests is hold in the month of April or May.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is located very close to college campus it takes 5 minutes by walking. Hostel room includes bed, ceiling fan, and 24×7 electricity and wifi too. Meal is average someday they provide good and somedays to be honest they provide worst
Admission
Our college provides admission in both ways direct admission without proper councelling and admission with councelling. For direct admission the student must have a good or descent percentage in higher secondary and 10th examination and the student must have given atleast one entrance exam( I took admission directly as I had a descent marks in board exams). And for admission through councelling the student must give entrance exams like WBJEE or JEE and must have a decent rank
Faculty
In our college faculty and student interaction is very nice. JIS not only provides normal traditional classes but also provides modern flip classes which helps us to grab every concept and understand it thoroughly and every student has also been assigned a mentor to whom he can complain regarding any issue and ask for any help at any time.
