Course Curriculum Overview

3

I didn't know about the course curriculum before I joined the college. AIT is affiliated to Pune University which decides the curriculum. I dont think that the curriculum is as per the present need of the companies. They are outdated. Hence we prefer other courses which is needed for the jobs. Course need to be changes and the students should be taught things like Web Development, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, etc. Per semester we have two exams one is the In semester and other one is the End semester. Difficulty level is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Due to the pandemic many companies were not visiting the college for internships but last year almost 2o companies visited for campus internships. They provide both the work for home and onsite. Companies like Deutsche Bank, Mastercard, ZS associates, Connectwise, Deloitte, Hashmap, udChalo, etc. Stipends varies for 30 thousand to 1lac.

Placement Experience

4.5

From 7th semester students are eligible for the campus placements. Deutsche Bank, ZS associates, Mastercard, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, Cisco and many more. When I joined there was a offer of 1.2Cr for amazon Dublin. Highest package is 1.2Cr, average package is 14lacs. Every year more than 95% students are palced. My plan is to join the MNCs and starting my own company after getting the experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

For full four year course the tution fee will be around 10 lacs approx. There is a 5% approx hikes every year. Total fee including hostel and mess is around 14 lacs. Abundant scholarship are available for students. Currently I have two scholarship one is the PMSS and other is the udChalo. Companies come into the college for the placements in 4th year and internships in 3rd year. Currently I am in second year so I have to wait one more yyear for college internships.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is awesome as the sports facilities are amazing as I said before and abundant greenery makes it more beautiful. There are 22 Clubs in the college from Technical Clubs to the Spiritual Club and to the Sports Club. Annual tech fest is in March which is open for all over India and the prize pool is 10lac+, Cultural fest is also in March which is same open for all and Sports fest is around April. Library has all the academic books and many journals. It has a wide range from story books to the newspapers. Every classroom has the smartboard connected to the internet.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are of two types one is the singlets and other is the triplets. Individual get it according to the merit . The washerman and the room cleaning staff is included in the hostel facilities. Individuals get one fan, a bed and a table chair combo. Sometime Water quality is not good. Mess food is average as compared to the other mess available outside the college. 40 thousand is the cost per year. There is a timetable which is followed in making food. Hostel is mandatory for 1st year and after that we have the option to decide.

Admission

Individual has to give the JEE Mains exam to join the college. AIT has the own website where I found out the application form, fess and all the dates. There is no reservation in the college by the caste system but only Army personnels can join the college. Two exams per semester. Difficulty level is moderate. Websites can be made more engaging, it keeps refreshing again and again which makes the admission process hard.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty to student ratio is good. All faculties have Ph. D.s at least. They have a wide range of knowledge with parallel to their knowledge of the specific subject. Every class is divided into three batches consisting of 20 students each and each batch is provided a mentor who is a teacher of that class. They are in contact with parents also. They are open to talk. They also organise educational trips to MNCs for real time experience. Some faculties who joined new have no experinece.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
