Likes
- The College campus is clean and well maintained. Even though it's only 33 acres , the campus is sufficient for the small crowd present here. Hostels are also well maintained. Everything is present inside campus from grocery to stationery.
- The sports facility present in this college is also good. Courts and grounds for various sports are available and timely maintained.
- The less intake of this college is also a plus point as it yields more focus on students and more oppurtunities are available for more students.
Dislikes
- The syllabus followed feels like outdated and can be changed, it might get changed from next year when the college is autonomous.
- There is intime for students which is 10pm, which feels like restraining sometimes.
- The hostel availability for students is decreasing from second year onwards, which might be resolved after construction of new hostel but for now its a problem
Course Curriculum Overview
Basics of the Computer Engineering are present in the curriculum and taught, but the curriculum is not updated with the recent advancements in technology and industry. Students have to study and learn those skills on their own for the benefits and to stay updated and ready for placements.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Goldman Sachhs , JP Morgan & Chase , Mastercard , ZS Solutions and many more provide the internship opportunities to students of 3rd year. The stipend for all of them vary from 25,000 to around 100,000 and the duration is also from 2months to 6 months.
Placement Experience
From the 4th year i.e. 7th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placements, and 5th semester students are eligible for the internships . Above 95% students get placed with the average package of around 1400000. And most students opt for the working rather than going for higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition is fee is increasing at a 5% rate. The complete cost per year including the academic and hostel fees for last year(2023-24) was 3,11,000 approximately. For the scholarships , girls have many opportunitiees for scholarships and everyone almost gets 50,000 scholarship . On top of that you can get other scholarships also. For boys , if your parent is ex-servicemen you will get 30000/year , aslo if you are in the top 5 of your class you can get scholarship worth 15,000 to 30,000. There are internships opportunities provided by the college and also placements ranging upto 25,00,000
Campus Life
The name of the annual festival is ALCHEMY which consists of three main events , cultural event - AMETHYST , sports event - PACE and the technical event - SOLUTIONS. There are many student run clubs and they organise various events throughout the year
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is compulsary for the First Year students. Hostel facility is overall okayish . The mess food is also okayish and have two paid mess days friday and sunday , where students could buy different variety of dishes for around 60 rupees. From second year onwards availability of hostel decreases , students are provided hostels on the basis of merit and attendance. PG and rental rooms are available in the area nearby college , i.e. Dighi .
Admission
This college is only for the wards of defence personels, parent should have worked in the Indian Army , Navy or Airforce. Application forms and admission details are available on the college website. Apllication fees is around 500 . There are no benefits on the basis of Caste but some reservation for those whose parent have battle casualties , war medals , or ward of widows etc. Admission is done on the basis of the JEE Mains percentile and CRL is taken in consideration.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:60. Many of the faculty have PhD in their respective fields , many are pursing Phd and almost everyone has masters degree in their respective fields. Students can easily approach teachers if they face any issue and want to get their doubts solved from the faculty.
