My College World

I chose this course due to my interest in the field of computer sciences. I secured good percentile in joint entrance exam mains and opt for this college because this is one of the best college in terms of technical culture. Our college follows the curriculum given by Savitribai Phule Pune University which is quite outdated. Ease of curriculum helps us in getting skilled outside academics.

Many companies visit the campus time to time in college which provide internship opportunities to eligible students. Training and Placements cell of the college takes care that all the students get intern by the end of their pre-final year. Many programs are also run for the same.

College training and placement cell work regularly on getting the right placement opportunities for students. On campus internship opportunities are provided to the students of the third year and on campus placement opportunities are provided to the students of final year. Almost 96-98% students get placed every year from college. Highest package varies from 50 LPA to 75LPA. Average package depends on branch and batch every year.

Tution Fees of the college is about 2 lakhs per academic year which keeps on varying according to college norms. The hostel, sports, and various other fees sum up the total fees to 3.35 to 3.5 lakhs per academic year. Scholarships are granted according to the academic performances. Financial aids schemes are also given to the needy students, if any.

The overall senior junior interaction in college helps students to grow technically and morally. There are many extra curricular taking place in college time to time for growth of students. The major events of the college include Solutions - the intercollege technical event, Amethyst - the intercollege cultural event, Pace - The intercollege sports events, Startup Saga - Business engineering event. There are over 20 clubs in college varying from tech to non tech fields.

Hostel accomodations are better as compared to other colleges in near proximity. Mess food is good. I will rate mess food 8 out of 10. Menu quality is also good but needs revision in month or in a semester. Affordability of the hostel is also good. Timely hostel cleanups are done and housekeeping is also there.

Eligibility Criteria is solely based on the joint entrance exam score. The application is done through online portal of the college. Once the merit list is out, the interested students fill the fees and admission process is done. The admission process is fully online which makes it easier for guardians to apply. The offline stage of the admission process is quite hectic which could be improved in coming future.

Many of the faculty members are pursuing a doctorate in their specialized fields. Almost all of the faculties have done their masters in their respective fields. Faculties keep students engaged and help students in their academic and sometimes non-academicic life.
