Course Curriculum Overview

4

1. I wish to become a lawyer so for that I must have to pursue law and I have completed my graduation so I don't want to waste my time on integrated LLB Programe so I took decision to do LLB. 2. LLB is a professional course which one may choose to become Judge, Lawyer, Corporate Lawyer, Legal Advisor, etc. Basically for all the matter related to legal affairs 3. There is a improvement which I'll suggest that including few more subjects related to Corporate law because after pursuing LLB one have to do LLM to go for Corporate which makes the process little bit more lengthy. 4. Semester exams held with a gap of 6 month. In Starting 4 Semster there are 5 papers of 100 marks and in last 2 Semester there are 6 paper of 100 marks. Generally for promotion to another year one must pass in 5 paper out of 10 in 1st year and 2nd year respectively. and to obtain degree student must pass 30 subjects in overall course.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Fees is not increased in regular basis but may increase on the gap of 3-5 year. But comparing fees with private university or many other central universities fees is very low for all course. For LLB I gave 6010 yearly basis. 2. I paid 6010 for yearly basis and for examination there is extra 1100 fees other than that there is no other extra fees charged by University. 3.There and numerous scholarships given to many students of different background such as ews obc sc st. 4. Faculty does not provide employment opportunities to any student one may seek for that from their own capabilities and sources but not from university.

Campus Life

5

1. Annual fest are organised not only on delhi university as whole but also in different colleges. Like below are the few examples of fest a- Mecca- Hindu College- condicted in month of April b- Crossroads- SRCC c- Mosaic - Ramjas College d- Renaissance and Adhimulya - Kirorimal College e- Rainbow Festival - Atma ram sanatan dharma College etc. 2. Majorly all the books of all subjects are available in the library of department if not then you may ask for that in Central Library and if there also you didn't got then you may have access to e library. and there you may access any book. 3. There is WIFI present in overall university campus sometimes it won't work but yes majority of time you can access. 4. there is an official email ID provided by the College to students so that they may access to material online and for other reason also. 5. There are Sport society in merely every College which used to organise events related to sports. I'm also executive member of Sports Society CampusLawCentre

Admission

1. CUET PG Entrance one have to give to get admission in DU LAW FACULTY. 2. General eligibility of CUET PG : Person must be graduated from 55% marks aggregate in graduation 3. Reservation is given to all the Category like EWS OBC SC ST PWD. 4. CUET PG exam held once in a year. 5. Difficulty level of exam is not very high but for sure to get a prestigious university like DU you must score very good marks 6. In Year 2023 I gave CUET PG for LLB. I scored 259 out of 400. I belong to EWS Category. and I got CAMPUS LAW CENTRE. 7. For this year 2024 exam is held for 300 marks, Cut off hasn't been released yet. 8. To clear exam you must have the basic knowledge of Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantative Aptitude, Computer, English. and try to attempt your strong portion First. 9. You can apply for CUET from CUET PG Website. after that your exam will be conducted. After that Result will come by which you will get a Score Card. 10. From that score card you can apply on Various University.

Faculty

1. In year 2023 Law Faculty Students teacher Ratio is 56:1, which is 138 teachers for 7800 students (approx). which is very bad as comparing to other central universities like JNU, Jamia, etc. As their are less teacher they used have a lot of burden so their productivity decreases which overall affects the health of students. Also mostly teachers are there on Ad hoc basis. 2. Talking about approach and way of teaching I think is best because they are best in their respective fields and also they are graduated from other prestigious university which gave them a lot of knowledge which they bifurcate to us now. 3. Interaction with teachers and Students is very often. Teachers usually teaches in such a manner where any student may ask their doubt in between of lectures and also after the class. Many teachers usually call students in extra classes when they are having trouble understanding doubt.

Being very passionate about law it brought me closer towards the subjects i thought I'd never like. It's vast curriculum has made me like a lot of subjects and has also given me a real life applications and further academic achievement however I feel like the curriculum should focus on law subjects from the very beginning and teaching could be improved by further interactive session between students and faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very much practical knowledge based and helps the students to grow there legal reasoning which helps them to prosper in the profession. Also it helps them to read and correlate the real time judgements being passed, this curriculum prepares the students to understand the reasoning behind the judgements. Though the curriculum is practical knowledge based it still requires many improvements as these case are old and some of them are even overruled, also the we have to write very long answers which needs to be changed as new methods like ooen text book exams can be adopted to improving.

After 2 years of integrated courses, you can become eligible for a job. In law, there is no company, but if you have good communication skills, you will be placed in one of the high courts or supreme courts under a senior lawyer. I don't know much about packages. My plan was to go to Oxford University for further studies.
