Likes
- The college comprises of a lot of different clubs and helpful seniors who help us in our academics a lot.
- Our seniors provide us with different courses for various fields free of cost and they also maintain all the pyqs from past years including their personal notes by creating a server and provide it's access to the students.
- The student culture is also very good in terms of academics
Dislikes
- One thing that I don't like is the location of the college
- It's still under development so there are just a few buildings in the campus
- Non availability of hostel for some students because the campus has just a single hostel building and it cannot accommodate all the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum follows up quite nicely, we undergo 2 sessional exams and a endsem exam for a single semester .The courses selected as per the year are also quite manageable ,the sessional exams are of 15 marks and of a 1 hour duration while the endsem is of 60 marks with a 3 hour exam duration.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are being provided at the college by a lot of different companies including TCS , Goldman sachs , reliance jio , IBM and many more which includes the training of the students making them more pro at work providing a stipend depends on the company but on average calculations it may range between 7000-15000 depending on the skills of the student.
Placement Experience
Students who are in final year are eligible for placements but the eligibility criteria is provided on the basis of academics and cgpa of the student ,by the companies which visit the campus and institute does not play any role in that . The companies that visited iiit nagpur includes TCS,Cisco,CGI,KPMG and many more ,nearabout 89 percent students where placed in 2023.My plans after getting the degree is to enroll into mba .
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees in approximation is 2.5 lakhs as academic for a single year which does equal to 10 lakhs for 4 years until graduation. There are a lot of scholarships provided for the students such as nsp ,tution fee and exam fee for tribal students and also a lot of different scholarships for reserved categories including scholarships form different state governments.
Campus Life
Overall campus life is quite decent because the college is still developing but the events are actually fun and the various clubs present in the campus are great. They provide lot of services for students inorder to boost the academics of the student with different events which provide a different view to technology. Clubs provide us a huge platform for our individual growth.
Admission
Yes there is reservation for students as the college admission is done only by clearing the joint entrance examination (JEE). Students with reservation benefits can enroll into higher branches at a decent score also which benifits them a lot. Our sessional exams are conducted in consecutive months and after a month gap end sem exam is held. These exams are little bit difficult but are manageable for all the students.
Faculty
Faculty here is quite approachable and experienced and as for my branch which is cse , the student teacher ratio is quite decent but you can always go up to the teachers if you have some doubts after the lecture.
