Likes
- I liked the atmosphere of the college. It was mesmerizing and beautiful. The college is also neatly maintained.
- The faculties are very friendly and experienced. They're always with us throughout our whole semester.
- Almost all students who are least tried to do well got placed into companies with moderate or high packages.
Dislikes
- The classrooms are sometimes tightly packed and it increases the feeling or irritation and hotness, and even sometimes uncontrollable noise.
- The water filters are some specific parts of the campus is not functioning properly and it's not been taken care of even after multiple complaints.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum has been recently updated considering the relevancy and that makes me happy. But sometimes it does weigh too heavy on most of the students especially at the beginning. But most of them usually manage to go through them and they usually find the rest of the curriculum way easier. But the things that I learn feels applicable in today's world and it has my interest.
Placement Experience
We have more than 90% placements in B.Tech Safety and Fire Engineering, that too with a decent packages. Companies like GAIL, IOAGPL, HP, etc. regularly come to the college and hire multiple students. Even in other courses there's decent placements in highly reputed companies like Infosys, Reliance, Indian Oil etc. My plans are to get a decent package more than a company but I'd say GAIL is my dream company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is fair for a college with reputation and placements as good as these. We pay around 50k every semester. There are many scholarships available especially for students with reservations. And the people with financial instability also only need to pay less than 1000 rupees a month. This college really does give importance to the financial conditions of the students studying within.
Campus Life
The campus life is amazing, we have tech fests and cultural fests called Dhishna and Sargam every year, they're grand and many students from other colleges visit to experience it. We have a main common library which is huge and we also have libraries in all campuses of different branches. They're free to access and we can take books from there for free too, there's a wide range to choose from. We also have a lot of opportunities for sports training and participation.
Admission
The admission process wasn't too complicated and time consuming. It was rather simple and direct. We have a seperate entrance test called CAT. The cut-off is usually based on ranks, the pass marks are less but that doesn't mean everyone who passed gets admitted into the college. The exams in some subjects are quite easy but in subjects related to both physics and mathematics it's sometimes hard or extremely hard. The exams usually go well according to their schedule which will already be planned way earlier. The only thing I didn't like about the admission process is we had to walk a lot, so maybe that could be improved.
Faculty
There are a lot of faculties and we usually never face shortages of faculties and we have different faculties for almost all subjects and semesters. The teachers are very friendly and you can approach them with any problem. Even the senior faculties are very friendly and humble. They all have previous teaching experience and their expertise guides us along our path.
