Likes

It was very close to the metro so i didn't have to travel that much
Our dance team "Ntriya" is very good in the college.
No tension related to the attendance so it was very easy to attend the college.

Dislikes

Didn't provide any good placement opportunities
I think Delhi University is very over hyped
Faculty wasn't that great in the college except a few.

Delhi university is very overhyped. One thing which is good about it is that one has to pay a low fee and that's all. When it comes to the curriculum it is very old. DU needs to update their curriculum with the fast moving environment in the education system.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I hardly saw any internships coming to our college. one cannot expect more than 15000 as a stipend and that's a rare case. mostly stipend lies between 5000 to 10000 and many of it are unpaid. DU doesn't have the good internship and placement opportunities.

Placement Experience

when it comes to the placement of DU it is very poor i must say. Only north and south campus has the good placement and that also of the B.COM students otherwise more than half of the college goes unplaced. Very students are able to land a job in DU through the college placement

Fees and Financial Aid

Education fee is very low at Delhi university that's the one thing which i liked about it irrespective of so many drawbacks. One can avail the scholarship but it is tough to do so. There is no campus employment in Janki Devi Memorial College.

Campus Life

The thing which many of the DU colleges lack is the hostel facility. When it comes to the clubs and activities then no one can beat DU One can be very active socially when it comes to DU as it provides many opportunities

Admission

I did my B.com from DU for that you have to complete your 12th Standard. I availed the reservation under the SC category hence i got in with the 77% Anyone can get into the Janki devi memorial college if they have 75% or above.

Faculty

Faculty of the Janki Devi Memorial college wasn't very great even though it comes under the Delhi university. Very few professors were great and helpful otherwise faculty and placement was below average.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

MLNCE - Average but Enjoyable

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In regard to the relevancy of the course Im quite fond of the subjects such as BL CA AND HRM they give us the better insights for both practical and theoritical knowledge making us ready for the "real" world . As For the improvement i feel like there should be some flexibility in GE so that students can choose a sub as per their choice as Hindi is fixed for me which isnt quite suitable for my course and it just drags my CGP down. The frequency if the exam is okay but the timing I feel like its way too fast just after first sem exam we had classes and all test and felt like it went on a spur

An Unfiltered View of SRCC

Placement Experience:

Placement in SRCC is very amazing, and way beyond the placements of DU colleges. A lot of big big names in Finance, and consulting domain, recruit from campus including McKinsey & Co., Bain & Company, Kearney, Big 4s and all. Highest package is 35+ LPA and Average Package is 10 LPA. I HAVE PLANNED TO complete my ACCA along with a little work experience.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I choose Janki Devi Memorial College mainly because it is a Delhi University College and has a good academic environment. I had applied to a few other DU colleges as well but the cutoffs is some of first slightly higher so, I could not get my preferred course there. When I got admission in Janki Devi Memorial College, I found that the faculty, infrastructure and overall environment is good, so I decided to continue here instead of waiting for further rounds. In comparison to other college I considerd JDMC has a disciplined environment, supported teachers and regular academic activities. The crowd is decent and the college focuses well or academics along with society and extra curricular activities which also influenced my decision.The admission process was conducted through Delhi University procedure. Eligibility depends on completing class 12th and qualifying through the entrance process used by DU. After the after the results and cut off education list are released, students confirmed their seats by submitting documents and paying the fees online. Overall admission process is what all the competition and cut off can be high with me getting into top colleges difficult. Life a Janki

Admission process was through CUET UG exam. The selection was done through CSAS portal based on our preference list and marks in CUET exam. Compared to other colleges, Janki is pretty quiet and isolated from other du colleges, which is good for safety. It is evolving each year and for an off campus college it's amazing.
