Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Course is decent however the course of nit rourkela is more harder than the courses of other nits i mean the exams are more harder than other colleges, other than that there are some extra elective courses regardless of any all the branches which can be helpful to increase the gpa and talking about the Mining department, the quantity of machine's are very less and the professors are mostly not good

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships which students can apply for that in 1st year and taking about employment opportunities many clubs are there which will be useful for the students and the placement cell also focuses on the students from 2nd year and talking about the fees, it is probably the most expensive nit if talking about fees, the fees has been increased drastically only the hostel and mess fees is around 50-60k and if academic fees is included then it will be around 1.25- 1.3 lac

Campus Life

0.5

if you're in good clubs then for sure there will be some development in you, however for some of the clubs the induction process maybe hard it depends on you and the social life can be worse or can be good depending on the you and the people you got in the starting and there are good sport activities and fests are decent not that great not like that what you here over the internet that it's greatest fest in the east India it's really not and i had some very bad experience in this college which I can't explain here but yeah

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel are decent, it's good that occupancy is not more than 2 people however for boys you'll get VS hostel and which is very congested for 2 people because it was meant for only single occupancy rooms and same for girls in the 1st year they'll also face such congestion problems and mess is not that great the fees is just too much and quality is not upto the mark so overall the experience is okayish

Admission

Application process was decent however you may face some problems in registrating because of the slow management process and you may have to stay for the long in the campus for admission process like it may also take 2-3 days

Faculty

1.5

Faculties are not that understanding there only role is to teach that too most of them teach okayish, other than that mostly professors are very strict so if you havr any type of problems they will not going to understand you

Stduents get eligible from 5th semester for placements peaking at 6th semester of the college. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Tiger Analytics etc came but big pacakge placements offers are low . The highest package was 32 LPA and the average goes to 5-6LPA. The percentage goes to 90 % for placements. After getting degree you can go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
