KIIT (The life of Entertainment you need)

The specifics aspects of the curriculum will definitely be the viability of the course in the field of Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning. The curriculum is based on the New National education Policy and is quite interesting and interactive. Some amount of room is still there for improvement like use of programming languages

There are a lot of internships offered at KIIT and the notifications will keep coming in in the mail provided by the college. There are numerous paid and unpaid scholarships that may/may not offer stipend but do train their interns for atleast a month under industrial experts. I personally have not opted for any interships so I like to avoid commenting further on it.

As of last year around 450 companies made 5200 offers with an average package of 6.5 lakhs per annum. Placement rate is about 80-90 percent that is better than most colleges. The highest package offered is of 63 lakhs per annum and the lowest would be around 2 lakhs per annum. Some of the very best companies were Dalloite, Cognizant and TCS. My Plans after getting the degree will be to take an in campus placement job and then in 5 years or so opt for an executive MBA.

I don't know about the tution fee increase policy as I have not experienced it yet. The complete cost of my educations adds up to a staggering 22 Lakhs for four years which includes course fees of 1,92,000 per semester , Hostel accomodation fees of 50000 per semester, and mess fees of 22500 per semester. There are a bunch of financial aid available for students. I am subject to none. But I am awarded 10000 rupees per month under the KIITEE merit scholarship awarded to the top 1000 rankers of the KIIT entrance exam.

There are number a number of fests and cultural programs that are organized here. KIIT is majorly known for its college life. The largest fest being KIIT fest which includes all the schools that come under the university.Lots of celebrities, superstars, speakers, coaches, businessmen, and industrialists visit KIIT to provide their insight and share their mindset and intellect with the students. The college campus and infrastructure is astounding and beautiful with many parks, gardens , libraries and sculptures. KIIT is well known for providing students with the best opportunities in the fiels of sports and activities. There a over 25 in house clubs and societies for the students that have their individual roles and help students in upskilling and building networks.

Hostel rooms are good and spacious. There are about 5 types of configurations in opting for a hostel room. The 3-bed non AC is 28000 per sem, the 2 bed non ac is 40000 per sem, the 3 bed AC is 50000 per sem , the 3-bed AC with attach bathroom is 60000 per sem and finally the 2 bed AC with attach bathroom is 70000 per sem. The mess food costs around 22500 per sem and the cost of using washing machine is 500 per sem. The locality is Patia that is a busy place of Bhubaneshwar but it is possible to get a room or PG in the nearby areas. The food in the hostel is quite average and will be the only thing to manage.

First Students need to appear the KIITEE exam or they can enroll through their JEE percentiles. The application forms and their updates can be found in the website of KIIT. I don't really know about the resevation benefits as I am subject to none. The application for the KIITEE exam is free. The top 1000 rankers of the KIITEE exam will be fairly compesated with a scholarship of 10000 rupees monthly atleast until the next semester after which they will be subject to terms and conditions like a SGPA above 7.5 and attendance of above 75 percent to continue the scholarship. There is a lot of hassle in the day of the admission due to the crowd and heat of July.

The faculty to student is ratio is well enough. The classes are regular and the teaching style of teachers are simple and effective. The faculty here at KIIT is quite qualified as most of them have completed their education from the IIT's, NIT's and other precious institutes. Every first year section section is appointed with two mentors that tend to the the need of students personally. There are 2 mentor mentee meetings in a month. The mentors check up on the students personally by visiting their hotel rooms.
