Course Curriculum Overview
There are a lot of data science courses spme of them are compulsory and some of them are elective. Looking at the current trends this is the most progressive field in future. Many practical courses are there which enriches us with hands on experience.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of big tech companies tha come to our collge for internship like google, microsoft, sprinklr, merilytics, axestrack, sprih labs, flipkart, codenation, amazon, samsung, accenture japan, money forward, mecon ltd, razorpay, zomato, medibuddy, anarock, media.net, indeed, intuit, tvs , tech mahindra, fiitjee,allen,bpscl like psu's and many more are there. The average stipend for last year was 60000.
Placement Experience
The placements of last year was quite impressive. But, this year there is a lot of chaos due to recession. The average package last year was 28 for cse, 20 for ee etc. This year, the placement season is still going on. Almost 80% from cse are placed and for other branches its 50% this year.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a tution fee per semester of 100000. The students with income under 1 lakh get full fee remission and for sc st students there is no income barrier. Even the college supports students with less income by providing mcm scholarship of 10000 per year.
Campus Life
The names of the annual and technical festivals are miraz,ranneeti exodia etc. which happens every year in summer and winter semesters. There are a lot of clubs like music, robottonics, dance etc. There are many coding events like hackathons and frosthack where students get opportunity to solve real life problems using their coding skill and win exciting prizes.
Hostel Facilities
I live in hostel itself. The hostel facilities are quite impressive like the amenities of refrigerator, induction, washing machines etc. If they are found faulty then there are very quick responses from administration regarding this. There are single rooms for 4th year and 3rd year and double and triple sharing for 1st and 2nd year students.
Admission
The application process is very simple. We need to score good in jee advanced to get your specific branch in the college of your choice. There are no interviews for getting admission. This exam happens every year once.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio at iit mandi is 1:50. The faculties mostly orefer to teach offline through slides and online materials. The teachers are always available to help you anything regarding the course.
