College life and placement experience of MNNIT Allahabad

As per my course, the coarse curriculum is pretty relevant to today's civil engineering studies. There are around 8 labs under civil department which ensure providing high level of practical knowledge to the students. There are mid semester, end semester and practical examinations for each semester. Also, a supplementary exam is conducted in summer vacation for the students who were unable to clear the required criteria to pass a particular coarse.

Companies like Microsoft, oracle, Amazon, J P Morgan, Goldman sachs, Qualcomm, VISA, etc. Visit the college campus from the summers for the students who have cleared the 4th semester. Online assessment and interview rounds are taken and the internships are done in the summers after the 6th semester.

Tech placements are good for branches like cs, ece, ee but for the branches below lesser number of tech companies allow for placements. The placements season starts in the summers after the completion of 6th semester and whole year different companies come. Offers are made by companies like Amazon, google, atlassian, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft and many big companies. Also PSUs visit the campus for core branches like mech, civil etc.

The tution fee is around 65000 for each semester (general category) and 30000 is the fee for other expenses which amounts to a total of 95000 rupees per semester. For sc/st students and students below 100000 annual family income, concession is provided by the college in semester fee for full tution fee. Hostel and mess fee is same for all the students which is 25000 per semester or 50000 per year.

The college have a rich cultural environment, every year many cultural, technical and sport events are organised. Culrav and Avishkaar are the annual techno-cultural fests which are held for 3 days each. There are cultural clubs like nishaad(music), kalagani(arts), alchemy (dramatics), dance club, mhm(media) and many more and technical clubs like robotics, aero, astro club.

Hostel fee is 25000 for each semester including mess fee for every student. There are a total of 12 hostels, 8 boys and 4 girls hostels. Adequate number of washrooms are provided in the hostels with multiple water coolers for each floor ensuring the basic needs. Girls hostel also have washing machines.

The college provides coarses as per the JEE mains percentile of a student. After giving the JEE mains exam, according to JOSAA counselling a particular coarse is allotted. After getting a coarse, online application process starts where some documents for eg medical certificate, caste certificate etc. are required. MNNIT is a government college so reservation is there for category students.
