Remarks

JEE MAIN was an entrance exam for admission in MNNIT which is conducted by NTA and counseling is done by JOSSA. The cutoff for Mechanical Engineering in MNNIT for the general category was ranked 17000. There was no difficulty in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The term exams occur timely (once in 6 months, 4.5 months in covid period) as per the academic calendar which is displayed in the starting itself and it is followed strictly. It is not very difficult to pass the exam but have to work hard to score above 9 pointers.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement of the college is one of the major reasons for MNNIT to be in the top NITs of India. It has the best placement among the NITs. The average package is about 10 lakh per annum. Students of the 7th semester become eligible for campus placements. Almost all major companies visit our college. The highest package offered varies for different years. This year 5 students got the package of 55 lakh per annum and the average package was about 10 lakh. Almost every student of our college is placed (about 95 percent). PSUs also come to our college for Chemical Civil and Mechanical.

Fees and Financial Aid

In terms of financial help, the full tuition fee is waived if the family income of a child is less than 1 lakh and 23 of the tuition fee is waived if the family income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakh. Also, financial assistance of 9000 is given to students with lower income.

Campus Life

4

There are many clubs and social groups run by students and there are websites for these also. For example 1. CC Club which provides coding skills to college students 2. SAE Club which is for the automobile enthusiast 3. E Cell which aims to impart entrepreneurship skills 4. Robotics Club 5. Aero Club 6. Rotaract Club is a social group that contributes to society through different events 7. Anokhil Pahal aims at imparting education to poor students

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facility is very good for 1st year's but it deteriorates in further years. The 1st year hostel is named SVBH and is very spacious with all necessary things ( Bed, Cupboard, Study Table and Chair with proper lighting ) also the mess food in this hostel is awesome. It is provided with 4 lifts. The only drawback of this hotel is some restrictions. For 2nd and 3rd years, the hostels are not spacious but the other thing is good. This issue will be resolved in upcoming years as the new hostels are about to finish. Mess food is good as compared to what is said about food in hostels and there is a variety in the menu. It is a bit partial towards non-vegetarians as here only vegetarian food is supplied. The prices are affordable Hostel fee is 12000 and the mess fee is 15000 per semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose B.Tech CSE course as I am interested in Computer and Coding. Don't go behind the trend. Choose the course according to your interest. Every course and specialization is difficult in its own. Personally I suggest if you took addmission and you are in 1st semester, please focus on your studies. Don't kept roaming and bunking classes as 75% attendance is also necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is Totally academic level which is easy to moderate There are only one or two coding subjects which is done in form of workshops The overall syllabus is good but old and is related to aktu syllabus which needs a change and won't help in technical field a lot Curriculum is still moderate and easy to clear but still some students are back and detained due to less attendance Which is the biggest issue in this college that is 85% u can only take 6-7 holidays in a semester which is so less and two three holiday will let u detained in sessionals which will overall decrease the internal marks in your overall cgpa of college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects like ITC, COI influenced me as why they are in the curriculum they don't provide any skills for the engineering students. Students also studies these subjects in one day and give exam and they forget these subjects add no importance in the curriculum. There are subjects like acquiring buisness communication which helps us to improve our conversation skills confidence that is helpful in the future while interviews. The improvement in the subjects which is not useful for engineering and to increase more things which helps us in coding make us skill good. The frequency and timings of exams are quite tough there are consecutive classes along sessional exams student always stressed and the attendance is also higher so the student can't also take leave for his own mentality stability and to relax . The difficulty is quite high .

Giving them free attendance for that thing . The frequency of exams are about 20 days .
