Honest Review of IIIT Nagpur

The syllabus is quite new and aligned with whats required in the industry. The syllabus is updated every once in a while. We are taught DSA in 2nd semester itself. Some faculties are good while some are not.

Companies visit our college for internships for both 3rd year as well as 4th year students. The college e cell also regularly updates on LinkedIn about the students who grabbed internships. As our college is still in growing phase, the intership opportunities are also increasing.

The placements statistics of this year has not been disclosed yet as placements are still going on. But like every other college, this college has also been hit by recession. Last year the average package was around 14 lpa.

The academic fees is 2.5 lacs a year for the 2027 batch. One can avail scholarships provided by their states or in National Scholarship Portal. The hostel fees is around 1.2 lacs a year. The average package is 14 lacs.

As our college is very new, there is not much campus life at the moment. The infrastructure is still under development phase. The campus size is 100 acres but most of it is undeveloped. At the moment we have four developed buildings - Academic, Admin , Hostel , Residential. The infrastructure in the academic is top notch as far as labs are concerned.

The hostel is new and modern. Our hostel has 10 floors. As we have only one hostel block, their is a problem in accomodation. Half of the first year students have to stay outside the campus in a rented hostel known as Dia Hospitality. The mess in our hostel is decent compared to others but serves only veg food.

Admission is through JoSaa/CSAB counselling. My percentile was 96.9 and I got CSD branch. One has to take the Jee Mains Exam for admission here. There wasn't any aspect of the admission process which I didnt like.
