Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course that I took was specifically artificial intelligence and machine learning. I came to the college with hopes of making robots and AI machines but now I am in the 8th semester still doing python and ML codes only. Although the course is relevant and up to the mark with industry standards but the labs could be held in a better way and teachers should have knowledge about the subjects they are teaching. Most of the students here are self-taught. The students are loaded with exams only every month there is MST , surprise tests, assignments reducing the time for self study for students.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

TCS,Unisys, Play Simple Games, WNS, SpectraForce, EPAM, HIKE, HCL, AMDOX, MU Sigma, GSPANN, XCEL CORP, ZScaler, ZS Associates, MyKaarma, etc. Most of them offered service based and marketing roles. To get selected in companies students should have good projects and skill sets. Also the placement cell leaves no stone unturned to help their students during placements.

Placement Experience

2

Students are eligible for placements since their 2nd year. This year less than 100 companies visited the campus and around 500 students were placed from specialization branch due to recession. Highest package this year is 22,00,000 lpa and average package is around 4,00,000 lpa. After getting the degree I'll be joining Unisys company as an Associate engineer in Bangalore.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees is feasible as compared to other private colleges since this college has scholarships also for meritorious students. Tution fees increased last year from 98,000 to 1,15,000 per semester and examination fee was increased from 2000rs to 2500 rs. My complete cost of education since 4 years is 4,00,000 as I held 50% scholarship whose breakdown is 48000 per semester and 2500 for examination fee. Since my batch was labelled as covid-19 batch there were very few placements this year for our batch else the college holds good placement records. Despite of recession and covid0-19 deserving students got placed and luckily I was one of them. I got hired as an associate engineer in Unisys ,Bangalore and my joining is in july, 2024

Campus Life

4

The college is known for cultural events and fests which are celebrated with immense enjoyment. Fests are held with 3days continuity where students can showcase their coding talent, dance skills, art and craft and many more. The library is quite spacious and has almost all books. The classrooms too are quite ventilated and have projectors in it. Several sports and extracurricular activities are held in campus providing opportunities to its students.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel rooms and washrooms are clean and regularly cleaned Rooms are spacious and study table is also provided. Once a week tables, fans and coolers get cleaned. The hostel mess is quite a mess. There is a lot of food variety for international students but for the national students food quality is not that much good. Registration process is held on cuims app which is owned by Chandigarh university itself. After 2 years I took a PG in GBP whose rent is 6000 per room without food but the rooms are congusted.

Admission

The admission process was quite simple. Since it is a private college so as such there is no eligibility criteria but the students who have marks more than 90% or less than 30000 rank in jee mains get a 50% scholarship. The course to which I applied is 4 years long and the whole admission process was held online since I took admission during COVID-19. The admission cell contacted me via calls and emails and was quite helpful though. Reserved candidates surely get some benefits in terms of fees and scholarships. The admission process is quite fast though but the management could be improved after the student takes admission

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
