Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is great as i would say , it would consist of normal subjects and projects, individual seminar , viva , lab exams . So when the student is passing out he will surely have knowledge about the field surely

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is like there will be two payments in one semester, one is exam fee and other is tution fee which varies based on different semesters. But some people having scholarships like egrants dont need to pay tution fee as it will covered . There are many other scholarships based on different criterias

Campus Life

The infrastructure of the college and club activities is too good . Each department is having their own building and unique places with unique names . There is clubs for arts , techs etc . I am involved with the fashion show team of the college and the fun ive had with the team is beyond exchanging

Admission

The admission process was through the KEAM examination . CET is best engineering college in kerala so to get CSE in CET is much harder , so you have to get atleast a rank of below 500 and gladly i got 495 . The part which I didn't liked was considering plus two marks also in finalising the rank , so people who get more marks in plus two and less mark in keam will have higher mark in KEAM

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

Placement is average .top MNC except Google and Microsoft comes here.examppes are Infosys,TCS,Shobha construction etc.average package was 4 lpa some gotabove 10 lpa some students got more than one placement .no of offers made was about 300.from s6 onwards students become eligible for placement. Placement training is very good in the college.about 40 percentage got placement oncampus.highest package was 15 lpa.minimum package was 3 lpa.

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
