The scope of ECE at CET is very fast.Most of the alumnis who studied this course from CET either got placements or went for higher education.The faculties are very experienced and well trained.One academic year is divided into two semesters having a semester exam at the end.Also there are two internal evaluation test in each semester.The final sgpa is based on the semester exam marks and internal marks which is a total of 150 marks. In this a total of 40 marks in semester exam with 35 internal marks will give pass for the subject.

Texas Instruments , Bosch ,Cynlr,Tejas networks,Daimler trucks provide internship opportunities Among this Tejas networks provide software internships and all others are hardware roles. TI provide stipend of 60k and others offer average of 25k. Many of the projects are hardware projects and they submit the internship report as final year project report.

All the students who have passed to 7th semester are eligible to sit for placements given by CGPU.The largest offer given is 34 lpa by Texas Instruments. Almost 85% of students get placed at each year with an average package of 7lpa.Im planning to do Mtech with my Gate score

For general category students, an average semester exam fee is 5000.Also there is exam registration fee of average 2000 per semester.Other than this students have to pay their hostel fees only which is an average of 3500 per month.For SC,ST students all these fee are paid by the government which makes a total free of cost study for the category students.

The techno cultural fest DRISHTI and DHWANI respectively , are South India's largest fests held in a technical College.They are usually held in the months of April,May.The technical library includes all kind of authorised world class textbooks for every department.All the classes are equipped with light,can,and projectors.The sports culture of CET is also fascinating.We top the annual athleticeet always .The clubs like IEEE, ISTE, EETI, HERAKLES, EXCELERATORS, TINKERHUB provide a very large exposure to students in CET

The rooms in Hostels are very large .Usually there will be two students in a single room.Proper lighting and ventilation are provided.The hostel mess is run by students itself and the food served is very tasty.After getting admission to college ,the college hostel office will publish a ranklist of students for joining hostels.Also the rent is very cheap.The total bill including food is almost 3500 per month.

Admission process to CET is merely based on merit.The criterion include Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination rank and 12th grade marks.Only students securing the cut off rank will be given admission to the respective departments based on their rank.For Electronics and Communication Engineering,the cut off rank is almost around 600 for general category.However the cut off vary year to year.I had secured 118 rank in KEAM 2020.So it was easy for me to get admission in ECE. Each year Kerala higher education department will release the application form for admission to colleges under Kerala Technological University after KEAM examination in their website.Applicants have to fill the application form online. Students can select any college and course irrespective of their rank.But admission will be based on their KEAM rank.After the last date of recieving application,first allotment list will be released.I got ECE at CET in the first allotment itself.
